Played with my wife and not a fan of having the ladies tees just in the middle of the fairway.. not sure why they don’t have dedicated women’s tee boxes
My wife was fairly disappointed with that
Good course
Played her a few times always have a good time. Nice challenging course tea box was a little hard other than that. I would definitely come back and play here again.
Overall good, challenging course
We had a good time. We're not great golfers. We play to have fun. The only real drawback was getting booked behind a scramble with no delay between us and their last group. Took us 5½ hours to finish, but we weren't rushed. It's an hour away, so it'll be a little while before we make the trip again. Thankful for the hot deal!
Monsoon
Bought “hot deal” through golf now so there is a no cancellation policy. Rain all day from hurricane remnants and bear creek would not rain check us so we played on the wettest course we’ve ever played on. Also got snide remarks from the staff in pro shop, which was uncalled for. I’m done booking w golf now due to their poor cancellation policy and I’ll never play bear creek again. We don’t need course staff attitudes from that place. . We were the only group on the course.
Wait a week: Greens topped
Was NOT told that greens were recently topped!
Don’t believe a course should charge full-fee if it’s not in normal condition, especially greens since they produce half of STROKES.
Greens were grey-ish, fast, but not depositing sand on the ball; certainly not green or normal.
Some tee boxes need attention; and parts of course need to recover from excessive water later week. Fairways mostly in good condition. Roughs were okay.
POP was slow, nearly 5 hours mid-day on a Thursday.
Dried out
I like the course, but it's a little rough around the edges. The bunkers are pretty inconsistent- some were playable, some were not in great shape because there was 1 rake for the entire bunker and, accordingly, the bunker looked like a child's sandbox (the one in front of 13 green looks like it hasn't been tended to in a long time). Also, when I made the turn, i had to play behind a sixsome that they put out in front of me on Hole 10.
