Finish 18 holes in 4 hr near Auburn Hill, This is your course
1st time play here from FL, It turns out to be the best course for me. Eagle look in 15 but end up a par, birdie 17 and finish 18 little bit over 4 hours, all in all is a very good experience. The green is soft but yet firm that you can fly high approach shot that sticks but is firm for 1.5 putts. I think is because less traffic & rolls in much more straighter line. I don’t get that in Shepherd, Pine Trace, Blackheath etc. This course is also have more shades then other course in the evening so you can see most of your shots. Not a lot of bunkers as I can’t remember hitting close to any bunkers. It does come with elevation change and few short water hazard. A perfect place to bring your spouse or lady friends.
Beside golf, the flower looks pretty and smells good by the Pro shop and is the only place where all ball washer smell like flower. I can’t remember any other golf course has this good smell.
Challenging greens
Greens are fast and crowned this makes you hit shots into the greens, miss your spot on the green and you will be chipping
I will be back great challenge
Wife Caddy
What I like about this course is I can take my wife along as my spotter. The greens fees are cheap enough that I can pay for two and still get off pretty cheap. Most courses in area do not allow a non-player on the course. I play as a single a lot and having that extra pair eyes helps. If they do I go direct, not golfnow because it saves the cost of a green fee. Na by the way, it is not a bad track at all for the price.
Poor greens
The greens have not been touched in several years. 6 of the 18 are ok but the rest look like someone dumped a mound of dirt, grew grass on it and stuck a hole in the middle. They need to be flattened some so good approach shots have a chance to stay on.
I do however enjoy the course you just have to overlook greens
Very slow play, tough greens, but plenty of sun
The course was in good condition. The clubhouse and cart staff was friendly. I think the person setting the pins has anger issues. The greens were fast and pin placement were very difficult as the ball would not hold and roll off the green. I think that led to the slow play on a Sunday for the group In front of us that was putting way too many times. Do You want to speed up play, set the pin using USGA guidelines, then give the recreational golfer a little more of a break on top of that on the weekend. Save the impossible pin placement for the leagues.
Golf At Mulberry
We loved the course, it was tough but playable and the course was in very good shape. For us it is a hidden gem that we would go back to.
Tough Greens
Better know how to putt! all greens are sloped and fast. makes for an exciting putt on every hole. pace if play is awesome. i will return.
Good value
Weather little cool to start became nice and sunny not crowded at all pace of play perfect didn't have to wait didn't have to hurry..GOOD DAY
Good value
probably best round all year as far as no one pushing me or waiting for next hole
Beautiful Course
Mulberry is off the beaten path and is always in great shape. The greens are quick and the course is challenging yet playable. It's a beautiful course that's quiet and has some great scenery and wildlife. Also pretty reasonable. Pace of play has never been a significant issue.
Great condition
The course is nicely laid out. The condition of the fairways and greens where in very good. My complaint are the domed greens that are too challenging for you typical golfer.
Mulberry Hills
Mulberry Hills is obviously an older course, built in the 60's, and having the characteristics of courses built then. The conditions are good, and there are some nice, challenging hole layouts. As many others have commented, nearly all of the greens are crowned, and hitting approach shots without loft or spin will almost guarantee a longer putt or putting from the fringe. Even more than being rather difficult to read and putt, the greens are rather boring and lacking character; you end up looking at the same approach and same putts nearly every hole. Other than that, it's a good value for the $$$. It's in a rather remote location, so unless you live north of Rochester/Auburn Hills, be prepared for some dirt road driving.
Bring bug spray
I was referred to this course by a friend. He called it "a hidden gem." It wasn't. The first thing I noticed was the clubhouse. Very cool barn that was remodeled, although when you went inside you were met with a strong smell of what seemed like cat urine. The course itself was okay, nothing spectacular. The teeboxes were well manicured and although the fairways we're plush, it seemed like a tractor had run them over. Rivets and bumps all over. The greens on the other hand were absolutely ridiculous. Crowned, turtlebacks... Whatever you want to call them. It was near impossible to land an approach shot close, let alone keep it on the surface. The front 9 seemed a bit easier than the back but both had blind shots and an abundance of bugs, very annoying. This is not a course that I would put into my rotation. Play at your own risk.
