About
Mattawang Golf Club has changed very little since it first opened in 1960. The traditional layout has withstood the test of time as a challenging but playable layout. The course was designed to blend seamlessly into the natural setting while still testing your shot-making skills. You won’t find any man-made water hazards or artificial mounding on this golf course, instead you’ll be challenged by natural streams and ponds and mature evergreens. At first glance, the layout is seemingly wide open, but don’t let your guard down because the fairways are actually quite tight and many of them are strategically lined with trees. In keeping with the time it was built, the greens are smaller than those you would find on most modern golf courses and heavily protected by sand traps. Over the years, Mattawang Golf Club has built a reputation for having some of the well maintained putting surfaces in the area.

Wonderful Day On The Course
Been playing here for the last 2.5 years and still find the course as challenging and exciting as I did day 1. The layout forces you think about every shot. Holding chips on the green and putting on fast greens are tough. Fairways and greens are in great shape overall. There are some wet, mushy spots due to the rains but they don't take away from the gameplay. Today was slow play as a single for during the week but they let me jump ahead. I'm a 7-9 handicap and typically shoot low to mid 80s there.
Thanks for playing Mattawang. It is nice to see someone who enjoys the challenge of Mattawang. The course is not as easy as the scorecard looks!
Good day on the course
Another nice day at Mattawang. Everything is nice & green…good shape & pace of play was very good even with a bunch of people everywhere. Played in 4 hrs. Solid course, enjoyable day.

The course is kept up nicely especially the greens at this point in the year. Fairways unfortuntely had some significant damage spots. Nice course but a tiny bit overpriced for how the fairways were looking.
Kyle, thanks for your thoughts. The fairway damage you point out is fairly limited and is flood damage from a few weeks ago.

Beautiful course
The entire course was kept very nice. The bucket sands are soft. The green are decent. I will definitely come back to play again.

Course is in good condition and fun to play. Due to morning rain place was empty.. . Can only make tee times on golf now or website. Could be more accommodating and friendly. Outside hot deals it's over-priced.

Nice layout
Not a lot of trees but the narrow fairways made it challenging. A lot of people playing from adjacent fairways due to slice/hook. Course was in excellent shape, very good greens. I pre-paid through Golf Now so I didn't have much interaction with the staff. No grill, liquor license or drink cart, but I would play there again. There is a driving range and putting green.

Underrated.
The course is perfect for what it is….fairly priced, no frills, no fancy amenities. But always in good shape. Always green & lush. The layout is a real challenge from the tips. Especially the par 3s. If you looking to play a solid course thats affordable & in good shape then this is the real deal. Its an under the radar public course that always has times open. If you need a fancy clubhouse or u whining about water coolers on the course or cart girls or food or fancy range, then this isnt for you. But the rest of us just want to play an affordable round thats a good challenge….this is the place.

No Range
It was my first time playing the course. I checked out the website and it said there was a range and when I got there they didn't have a driving range..
Rolando, the range was open and quite busy on Saturday. The driveway coming into the property runs along side of the range.
