About
The standard 18-hole Green Tree Golf Course keeps in mind both skilled and inexperienced golfers. This public course has tight fairways lined with trees and greens of Rye Grass. The longest tees have a yardage of 5709, playing to a par of 70.
The golf course has three sets of teeboxes to provide an interesting game. There is also a driving range and practice green for beginners or those that would like some practice. The course is accessible from many major roads such as Routes 30 and 40 as well as the Atlantic City Expressway. The first shot is a difficult par-4 dogleg right that has water, bunkers, and heavy forest to look out for.

Tee boxes were not good. Paved golf cart paths were a welcome surprise.

Will not be back
Paid 40.00 , which was way too much, better off going to Mays Landing. Course from tee box to fairway was in horrible condition. Won’t be back

Course need some TLC
The course has gotten beaten up pretty bad this summer due to the heat and lack of rain! Overall though for the price, I couldn’t really complain too much. Hopefully in the fall we can get a little more rain and the course can recover a little bit.

Short fun track
Good value for the money to walk this course (weekday, after 11, $22/ea). Love the par 6 hole, though it doesn’t play that long. Short, shot maker’s course, fun track to see if you can go low, good practice teeing irons and hybrids and having a wedge to the green (or a short ‘feel’ shot). Drought conditions are hurting everyone; course was in decent shape, all things considered.

Course fairway too dry and hard
It could have been the drought, but he fairways need serious watering.
The rough when too hard, has sharp gravel and can really cause deep scratches on the sole of your clubs. If I am in a bald and hard spot, I just take relief, with permission from my friends and play it on a patch with grass

Very disappointed with conditions of fairways and greens,went downhill in the last 3 weeks. Fairways poor burnt out and crabgrass. Greens had many bare spots.

Cool layout, awful conditions
First time playing course, and some really cool holes, a par 6 on the 3rd hole, and overall a par 72 for a very short course (5350 from the whites) with many driveable par 4’s, but with lots of danger in doing so. More like a target golf course that required precise short tee shots, lots of irons off the tees on par 4’s.
Staff friendly, food amenities were good, and price was reasonable.
The bad? Course was in awful shape (other than the greens which were well kept) , possibly one of the worst conditions I have ever seen on a golf course.
The 1st tee they attempted to resod the entire tee box – all if it died. Most Tee boxes were mostly dirt, hard to find level area for your feet. The fairway greens were non-existent, often hitting fairways shots that were like hitting off a hard cart path.
The ladies tees (I played with my wife) looked like they just random;y through them anywhere, not even an identified tee box, and some with no grass at all.
My wife kept apologizing for the course (since she had recommended we give it a try since we were going to be down toward the shore), and then said, she would never play it again. She even suggested we should ask for our money back.
I probably would not be as critical, the course, for the price, the layout, would be worth another shot, but maybe late spring, or even late fall, when the course might be in better shape.

Going downhill
Real shame the direction this course is headed. Played it twice this year, most recently 7/26 The tees have all been pretty much all died out even though it looks like most of them have been recently sodded and the fairways are hit or miss. The greens were really good the first time I played but seem to be getting brown in a lot of areas now. But for the price its ok. Really hope they get it back together. I heard its because of the shortage of rain so hopefully they work on the watering system

Outrageous Price for Very Poor Quality Course
Course was in very poor condition. Overall layout is good and fun to play, but fairways were in awful condition as majority had almost no grass growing on them and greens were rock hard and very fast. Not one to complain about courses much but this is the quality I'd expect of a $20 golf course.

For the money it’s not bad.
Played in the off season when winds were brutal. Came back on. 95° day, and enjoyed much more. Interesting course layout, par 6 number 3!!! For the price I’ll play again.
