About
The standard 18-hole Green Tree Golf Course keeps in mind both skilled and inexperienced golfers. This public course has tight fairways lined with trees and greens of Rye Grass. The longest tees have a yardage of 5709, playing to a par of 70.
The golf course has three sets of teeboxes to provide an interesting game. There is also a driving range and practice green for beginners or those that would like some practice. The course is accessible from many major roads such as Routes 30 and 40 as well as the Atlantic City Expressway. The first shot is a difficult par-4 dogleg right that has water, bunkers, and heavy forest to look out for.

Great Course to Experience
I wanted to come here because of the Par 6 hole. We had a nice round of golf the tree lines on some holes are tight. There is plenty of water but we had no issues with that. The greens looked like they had been aerated recently but they were pretty good. The Forward T boxes were ok for the most part but a few were not groomed well. The rough was rough so stay in the fairways if possible. The fairways were in very good condition. Afterwards we decided to have dinner at the restaurant…the food was great…service was really great…we will be back for sure. Plan to bring some friends with us next time. Price btw was inexpensive. Pace of play was moderate which was good because there were a lot of cars in the lot. We expected slower. So don’t hesitate to check it out.

Golf
Course not in good shape. Usually is? Cut break on aeration but open holes were in bad shape.

Stuck behind head pro
Took 21/2 hrs to play front nine because the head pro and his group decided that they could reach every green… Which they never did from what I witnessed he couldn’t be the head pro at a mini putt course nor does he have any sort of golf etiquette every time they pulled up to the Teebox it took them 10 minutes to tee off absolutely ridiculous walked off after 10. That was after the starter asked us to sit back because it was bothering him I guess him shooting 110 was not normal lol

Rough Shape
There were water hazards on the tee boxes…..greens were terrible. Fairways were ok but many dead spots all over. The ranger was giving us a hard time cause we played with 6, saying we were taking too long but there was a clear bottleneck ahead of us. Didn’t make any sense.

Par 6 enough said
This course is very unique and I did have a great time playing, but the maintenance people were very rude while playing. Almost every tee shot was blind. There was a par 6, which is interesting. Great course to get drunk on with the guys, just don’t expect to find your balls. Also the cart path has taken more mortar fire than Afghanistan. P.S. hot dogs are $5.

Need Ranger
Course not in good condition at all, divots on every green. Fairways not in good shape. 2 months ago course was great condition. A foursome of young kids were so slow playing games on green screaming and cursing holding up about 5 groups behind them including a walking foursome had to wait for them every hole. There was 2 people wearing tank tops with 2 people riding watching those 2 play going back to parking lot laying wheels. An absolute disgrace today started at 415 and only got 12 holes done with these shenanigans going on.

Atrocious conditions
Conditions are horrible. Tee boxes horrible. Fairway grass dead. Fringes crap crab grass. Avoid at all costs. Spending all their money on venue and restaurant. None on golf course.

Nice old county course
Some splotchy patches on tee boxers and fairways. They need to trim some trees.

Good but could be better
For the price it is definitely worth it. I like the layout there is a few short par 4s that can be reached in one but if you miss you pay the price. Pace of play was average for a morning tee time. Now for the negatives, the tee boxes were in really rough shape. Fairways were ok. When we went it was 97 degrees an they had no water on the course. Not sure if it’s because of Covid but I’ve played at courses that have water. We asked an all they said was no but we have water you can buy. I think with a little more TLC the course could be much better.
