About
The standard 18-hole Green Tree Golf Course keeps in mind both skilled and inexperienced golfers. This public course has tight fairways lined with trees and greens of Rye Grass. The longest tees have a yardage of 5709, playing to a par of 70.
The golf course has three sets of teeboxes to provide an interesting game. There is also a driving range and practice green for beginners or those that would like some practice. The course is accessible from many major roads such as Routes 30 and 40 as well as the Atlantic City Expressway. The first shot is a difficult par-4 dogleg right that has water, bunkers, and heavy forest to look out for.

Need Ranger
Course not in good condition at all, divots on every green. Fairways not in good shape. 2 months ago course was great condition. A foursome of young kids were so slow playing games on green screaming and cursing holding up about 5 groups behind them including a walking foursome had to wait for them every hole. There was 2 people wearing tank tops with 2 people riding watching those 2 play going back to parking lot laying wheels. An absolute disgrace today started at 415 and only got 12 holes done with these shenanigans going on.

Atrocious conditions
Conditions are horrible. Tee boxes horrible. Fairway grass dead. Fringes crap crab grass. Avoid at all costs. Spending all their money on venue and restaurant. None on golf course.

Nice old county course
Some splotchy patches on tee boxers and fairways. They need to trim some trees.

Good but could be better
For the price it is definitely worth it. I like the layout there is a few short par 4s that can be reached in one but if you miss you pay the price. Pace of play was average for a morning tee time. Now for the negatives, the tee boxes were in really rough shape. Fairways were ok. When we went it was 97 degrees an they had no water on the course. Not sure if it’s because of Covid but I’ve played at courses that have water. We asked an all they said was no but we have water you can buy. I think with a little more TLC the course could be much better.

Grab at a discount
If you can grab a round for under $40 while on OC vaca, by all means play. I wouldn't be happy if I spent more than I did. 9 minutes between groups on a narrow course with jacked up T boxes is a receipt for disaster. Greens are the best around. However, plan on a few extra strokes getting there. Places just off fairways are a bit high or rock hard. Lot of just misses and you're looking for a lost ball or unwarranted trouble. Like ALL narrow Pine Barren tracks in NJ, it's not a fair round if you don't get a level start. Pitched Ts are one thing, but hitting off the surface of the moon is another.

A truly enjoyable golf course
Have always loved Green Tree’s short but challenging layout. Greens in excellent shape! New carts came in today! Great amenities and driving range!

Wouldn’t pay full price
My Second time there overall and it seems the course has been let go a bit since my first time earlier in the summer. The tee boxes were a little chewed up and could lose your ball on some of the fairways due to long grass. Greens were in great shape but everything else left something to be desired.
Overall I wouldn’t pay more than the discounted rate we got for playing late on Saturday afternoon. I would have been really disappointed if I payed 50 bucks for this place just because there’s others options very close by it if you’re going to pay that
Pace of play was terrible because two groups of six in front of us. We played four holes before catching them and after that it was a nightmare. Nbody’s fault cause it was late Saturday afternoon but was disappointed that we didn’t get to finish our 18 because the big groups were totally unmonitored. I’ll still give this place another shot but my expectations will be low.
