Get discount rate on-line.
Played on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 1:15 PM. Cool windy day. Not many players on course. Greens still need help. Make sure you get a discount rate on-line before you go. We didn't do that and they charged us $34.00. Not a $34.00 course, especially with current conditions. We play the course a lot because we like the lay out. Just have to remember to get the on-line rate.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us, however, we're very sorry to hear your recent round with us may not have met expectations. We appreciate your patience & understanding given the weather conditions this time of year, but your comments on our course conditions are appreciated by our staff as we prepare for the season ahead. We hope we have the chance to welcome you back to Green Tree Golf Course for a much-improved round soon. #GreenTreeGC
Thanks for the 4-stars and choosing Green Tree Golf Course! Join us again soon. #GreenTreeGC
the weather has to improve before the course becomes a little better. greens had been aerated, and were a little bare in spots. given the time of year, the course was understandably rough.

Such potential unfulfilled
This course could be fabulous with some investment. The layout is great. The third hole is a par 6! That said, the fairways are in bad shape. The greens are now any better. Unfortunately, today the wind was gusting to more that 25 MPH the entire time so the round was a chore. When we reached the 18th green and it was finally over I was glad for the hot deal price of inly $13.

Your comments on our course conditions are appreciated by our staff as we prepare for the warmer season ahead, and we hope we have the chance to welcome you back to Green Tree Golf Course for a much-improved round soon. #GreenTreeGC
It worth hot deal. Not more
Early in season, value is ok to take off winter rust but not more. People are good, but with limited county budget the course suffers. Hopefully summer the grass starts blooming and will be 3/5 instead of 2/5
We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us, however, we apologize if your recent experience with us did not meet expectations. We appreciate your patience & understanding as we work towards improvements, but we look forward to hopefully welcoming you back for a much-improved experience in the golf season ahead.
Work wasn’t being done on the back 9 so we played the front twice. Course Facebook is a free cart rental for the inconvenience. Only thing bad I cannot say is the greens were super fast, so you really had to watch how you approached. Overall a good course for the price.
Thank you for the 3-star review, and taking the time to share your feedback with us. We apologize for any inconvenience again regarding our course maintenance, but we hope you were still able to enjoy a valuable golf experience with us. We appreciate your feedback on our greens as well, and hope we can welcome you back to Green Tree Golf Course for an even better round soon! #GreenTreeGC
Snobby and Snippy
Right off the bat I had to wait like 45 minutes for thaw out time, which is understood. Only thing I’ll say is don’t offer tee times this early ( 8am ) during cold months if this is a common issue. The spikey haired heavy set man offers range balls during the wait time which was cool. I refused though and asked for cart keys as they were included with price. He tells me to go fetch for the carts parked on the opposite side of the clubhouse which were already occupied by 2 other golfers. After waiting around i came back to the clubhouse and he gave me keys to a cart. I was confused because there were about 7-8 golfers me included and like 6 carts and he didn’t specify which to grab. Every time I asked a question he responded as if he was bothered or annoyed, very snippy. The group in front of me was a foursome and behind me a threesome. I asked if I can start on 9 to not be in anyone’s way. It’s nit like they had many players there. He says that’s not allowed. So I asked if I can skip hole 1 and start on 2? He says in a snippy way, “ No... it’s by times “ but yet he suggested I ask the group in front of me to let me play through..... I’m like ..... why not just start on 2? Anyway my tee time was for 8am and at this point it’s 8:45am. So I just left without playing. Only $17. On hot deals but after playing this course a handful of times, I’ll never reserve another tee time again there.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us, however, we truly apologize for any inconvenience or poor experience on behalf of the frost delay and interaction with our staff. We would like to address this situation with you directly and resolve any miscommunication. At your convenience, please reach out to John Hammer, Director of Golf, at hammer_john@aclink.org as he will be happy to assist and provide you with the opportunity to return for a much-improved golf experience soon.
Golf course in terrible condition
Golf course in terrible condition probably because of all rainy days. There is only sand on few greens.
Info Please
Ok.. I play this course quite often to just get ready for my league play because I know I can jump on anytime with good value. While I played yesterday, I was disappointed. The pro shop should have told me about the conditions of the tee boxes and greens. They we horrible. While I recognized that the greens were sanded it would have been nice to know up front. It just seems that the course has been let go since it's fall. I played 7 holes and left. You guys are better then what I saw yesterday.
Just wow, in the worst way
I have played here many, many times, usually as some sort of practice rounds as the hole layouts are odd and the conditions of the fairways and rough are inconsistent and relatively poor. I have no idea what happened here since the last time I played, but OH MY. The greens resembled baseball infields, being 80% mud and 20% weird grass Tufts. It's not aeration, it looks as if the greens were completely removed by accident, and the remedy was to throw a little grass seed at it. The tee boxes were completely unplayable with little to no grass. The fairways were mud and sparse grass, and the rough was inconsistently mowed nonsense. For their sake I hope the course was vandalized, because this was not a golf course, no matter how cheap the deal.
Great value and challenge!
Good course for the beginner and intermediate golfer as well as some unique challenges for the low handicapper. John Hammer continues to improve the course each year and the staff is very friendly led by Assistant Golf Professional, Justin Riggs.
Fun course , accuracy more inportant than distance
Fun place to play , the eighth hole is very challenging, greens are in great shape..bring bug spray the flys are a real problem sometimes..
Staff very friendly
Thought my tee time was at 2:20 when it was 3:20. Staff put me out with the next tee time when they arrived. I thought that was good business sense.
Great time.
Decent course, wonderful staff, great value!
What a deal! Greens fees, cart, club rental, and a sleeve of balls for under $40! With that I expected the course to be pretty dreary, but it was really quite good. The tees and greens were in great shape. There were some dry spots in the fairways but overall they were quite good. Pace of play was good, moving along nicely. It was the first time playing Green Tree for all four of us and we had a wonderful day.
To top it off, I left my GPS on the cart and my brother-in-law left the key to his rental condo in Ocean City on the cart as well. By the time we realized it the course was long closed for the day. I called first thing in the morning and the staff had both items held waiting for a call. We ran over to pick them up and had a wonderful conversation with the gentleman working the pro shop. Friendly, courteous, and professional.
So, I had picked this course based on the positive reviews in Golf Now and was not disappointed. We vacation annually in Ocean City, NJ, and have already agreed that Green Tree is on the agenda for next year. There are other, much more expensive courses in the area, but this was the most pleasant experience I've had in that area. Enjoy!
Senior friendly
Always find the course helping my game. Get to use most of my clubs in my bag.very senior friendly and the staff in the club house are very friendly, polite , and helpful. Think I'm going to purchase a new set of Cleveland clubs asap, from them..
