Green Tree Golf Course
About
The standard 18-hole Green Tree Golf Course keeps in mind both skilled and inexperienced golfers. This public course has tight fairways lined with trees and greens of Rye Grass. The longest tees have a yardage of 5709, playing to a par of 70.
The golf course has three sets of teeboxes to provide an interesting game. There is also a driving range and practice green for beginners or those that would like some practice. The course is accessible from many major roads such as Routes 30 and 40 as well as the Atlantic City Expressway. The first shot is a difficult par-4 dogleg right that has water, bunkers, and heavy forest to look out for.

Fun 50 degree golf
8am tee time was finished at 11.greens were great , tee boxes where fine, fairways I would say winter rules...lots of deer for the holiday season.
Greentree is a great Muni course to walk, all things considered. Total yardage is on the short side, but you still get to use the big stick plenty (there's a par 6, after all). The true-rolling greens are significantly sloped and the staff seem to enjoy brutal pin placements to offset the shorter distances.
The cart paths are terrible and in the off-season, the fairways can get clumpy. Otherwise, you can't go wrong.
Staff are like family (in both good and bad ways)...
Green Tree G C
Played the course from senior tees so it played shorter for me. The greens were in very good condition and rolled well. Enjoyed the round.
Great Value For The Money
Course was in very good condition. Was never held up by the foursome in front of us even though we were a twosome. Would golf this course again.
Fun course
Good value for the money. The course was in good condition. Some very challenging holes, 676yard par 6 was a lot of fun. We will be back next time we are in NJ.
Great Day For Golf
Played with a friend, booking through Golf Now and getting an outstanding rate. Course in fairly good shape. Pace of play was excellent. Two golfers finished 18 holes in 3 hours. Only complaint, snack bar is rarely open now that summer season is over. Needed a hot snack having left from work to play round. Always a good place to get in an afternoon round.
It' better then watching the NFL
Played on recent Sunday afternoon and zipped around the course. For the most part the greens were in good shape, tee boxes passable the fairways were ok with a few rough spots but if nobody is looking just roll the ball onto some grass. I've been playing here for years and there are a handful of holes that i never pared, but there is always next Sunday. What time do the Birds play?
friendly, personable staff.. greens in great shape..always a fun time ...I have been playing here for over 20 years
it’s my favorite golf course...I always feel welcome...
Poor conditions
Tee boxes and portions of fairways were poorly maintained. In some cases packed sand rather than grass. Played on day after rain so some rough areas were muddy but not marked off to keep carts away.
Also very slow play.
Affordable Track
Good course for the money. Fun layout and greens are usually in good shape. Watch for the flys here and bring bug spray.
Pace of play was backed up on more than one time playing there
Needs a new grounds keeper
Played on a Saturday afternoon. Decent course layout. Fairways and rough burned out and filled with weeds, clover and dandelions. Tees looked like a thick shag carpet from the 1970's. 14th hole has a hornet area, with millions of hornets, roped off on the left side of the fairway that literally was circle with a 30 yard diameter. No one in the pro shop said a thing about it. My playing partner happened to see a note pinned up on a bulletin board in the pro shop. I was treated like I had a disease because I booked on GolfNow. We vacation in OCNJ. I've played GreenTree every year. This was the worst I've seen it. If you can get a HotDeal for $10-$15, course is okay. Course has fun potential. Good variation in length and difficulties of holes. Needs a groundskeeper who wants to be proud of what is here. Golfers just know what you are headed into. This area has some GREAT courses available on Golf Now that are challenging and well maintained and more worth the $$$.
DO NOT PLAY
DO not play here unless you would like to play a 7 hours round on a terribly kept course. We teed off on a Monday at 930 and got done 9 holes at 130. When we pleaded with the ranger to give us a 9 hole rate he couldnt fathom why and simply would not give us half of the cash back that we had paid hours earlier. Desk guy was also very rude and kind of told us it is what it is. Wouldnt pay more than 15 dollars to play here.
not worth it
Wanted to try a different course, found this on golf now, unfortunately and some of the blame might be that it rained previous days, not really sure but giving benefit of doubt, either way course has not really been mowed in at least a good week or better, tee boxes grass very high, fairways ok, course layout was very weird we had to keep going back and forth to find holes. A very challenging course made for a hot day even worse. Had to keep cart on path unless doing a 90degree. The path was full of holes and water, a total mess. To make matters worse we were bitten by green flies which were in abundance. Saw players in tee shirts. One green was loaded with 8 deer, not complaining but was a little worried about possibility of deer ticks, they were nice to look at and of course not the fault of the course, just nature at it's best. I will not be back to this course, play at your own risk, might be a nice course if dry and grass cut who knows?
perfect as usual
Played here 3x in 2wks. This is a great course for all levels of play. Weather in south Jersey has been raining almost everyday. Overall not much laying water. Greens and fairways in great shape. Justin had everything ready when we arrived and greeted us with a smile and was helpful. Bert is back! Helpful and cheerful as usual. Had a great day with the girls and will be returning soon.
