Very poor conditions
Super long and weedy fairways. Many burnt, bald, inconsistent, weedy, overgrown greens. Lost a lot of balls ON THE FAIRWAY. Tee box distances are inaccurate so pay attention. I recommend avoiding for a little while til conditions improve. Hopefully they start maintenance soon because it was once a nice course for the money. Not worth it at this time.
No conditions are horrible!

Mow the darn fairways
Fairways were like a nice courses roughs. On a Sunday, they should be embarrassed. I had a fire deal and still feel ripped off.
There is nothing to mow. Like no grass! More weeds than grass...

Might not go back
3:58 tee time for 3 of us on a Sunday afternoon. Typically no wait late on a Sunday but when we arrived we were told that we would have to wait a few minutes for carts. There were two groups ahead of us waiting. One of the guys in the group in front of us said that course employee told him that “ 10 of their carts not working”. After about 30 minutes of waiting for players to come off #18 with carts; there was still a foursome waiting in front of us. We looked up the 18th fairway and saw two carts on the 18th tee. What happened next is not an exaggeration. It took that foursome 25 minutes to play #18. Watching them play that hole was the biggest cluster f$ck I’ve ever seen...Hunting for lost balls, dozens of practice swings, driving all over the place. When the four of them finally reached the green, they were just looking at each other until we started yelling at them. They finally finished...obviously drunk. 4 older pathetic looking guys. They had been backing up the course all day and nothing was done even though course employee said they were aware. What a joke. Finally teed off at 5:10. No offer from the guys in the pro shop for a rain check. Pathetic
Jefferson team
Great time, pin placement was awesome and course was fun. Greens some ready for air rating.
Great value for the money.

Best course in South Jersey
Empire Golf Management took over last year and made this course unbelievable. It has become my favorite course to play. A wonderful staff and a beautiful course to play at. I’d recommend this course to anyone.
I read this again and I almost puked! This is the worst course I've seen this year and I have seen quite a few playing 6 -8 times per month! Your review is a fraud..."false news"!
ARe you serious or do you work for Empire Golf?
Conditions are always hit or miss.
You can tell they are trying to improve the course, but there are a lot of rough greens.
Getting better though

Hidden gem in South Jersey!
We flew through our round today in 2 1/2 hours, the staff was extremely friendly! For new golfers the layout is easy enough and for more experienced golfers it can be pretty tricky. Overall i enjoyed the course and will continue to come back to see the changes the new group continues to make
In my opinion the course is going in the wrong direction since the new group took over in spite of the claims of vast improvement.
Are you kidding? The conditions are the worst in South Jersey!
Awesome course, had a great time!
The course is in great shape, especially after all the rain we have been getting. Staff was very friendly and I will definitely be coming back to Centerton soon.

You must work for Empire Golf or you have no clue! The course is in horrible shape! Please open your eyes and see it for what it is, a bad cow pasture...
Gross
I’d rather play off Frankenstein’s fat foot than have to hit a 275yd drive in the fairway then have to play out of sand bc the fairway condition is brutal
Wow the response from the course was absolutely arrogant and self serving! Not once did I hear anything that would be considered an apology or any remorse for your bad experience! As a customer service professional I would be held accountable for that type of response. Poor or even worse indifferent customer service= poor revenue and eventually poor ROI and profits!
Not good
I have Played at some public courses paying the same rate n they are in way better shape. The sand traps were terrible. Some greens were bad. Some fairways were ridiculous. Ohhhh well.
Easier layout. Thick rough.
Haven’t been to centerton in a few years (new owners) course is in slightly better shape than I remember, but there are still some issues with conditions. Bare patches in some spots, especially on the fringes and some fairways. Greens roll slow with hardly any break, so easier for the novice golfer. The course layout is forgiving, however the rough is very thick, so any advantage you have with the layout is swallowed up. Like backyard after about a week of not mowing thick. It also rained during our round, so I won’t take anything out on the course for that, but if it’s wet, or rains a lot the day before your round you will slosh around a largely wet course. One of the Par 4s in the back 9 was so wet in the fairway landing area, they just shortened the hole to a par 3, which was weird because you wound up playing back to back par 3s. Overall, I can tell the new owners are putting some money into the course, but it seems like the first bit of money went to upgrading banquet space and off course amenities, which we did not use. For a $42 golf now hot deal on a Sunday morning, I would say the round was worth it. I probably wouldn’t pay much more than that.

Improving
It’s improving. The fairways and greens are improving. Quite a bit of crab grass but it’s been a hot rough summer. For the money you can’t beat the course. A few cool holes including a couple par 5s which are reachable in two. Fun course overall. It was pretty soggy but we had quite a bit of rain a few days prior.
Could not agree more!
