Flanders Valley Golf Club - White/Blue Course
About
Flanders Valley Golf Course has received praise as not only one of the best public golf courses in New Jersey, but also as one of the best in the U.S. Flanders offers two 18-hole championship courses, White-to-Blue and Red-to-Gold. The courses are spread across over 400 acres of Morris County's idyllic countryside. The White-to-Blue Course has a more traditional layout that sprawls across mostly flat terrain. The golf course may lack elevation changes but there are an abundance of mature trees to contend with on either side of the course, making it very tight in some spots. One of the most memorable holes is the par-4 14th, nicknamed "Top and Right." This slight dogleg left hole has a pond bordering the entire left side of the fairway.

Early spring conditions
Played red to gold. Tee boxes moved up to reds. Greens sandy but soft. Not too wet but some snow remaining on upper holes of gold. Great pace of play. Awesome staff.
2 Bad experiences
My first time I played red to gold. Great course but round was ruined by a loud group behind us blasting their radio singing drunk hit into us twice. No Ranger no rules. Shame.
Second time I book a hot deal and rent a motorized cart for the red and gold hilly course, only the starter puts me on the white and blue, a walking course. I went back to the starter and he said I could play the red and gold but id have to wait at least 20 mins. I told him I paid for the red and gold at that tee time and he just gives me a look like thats all I got.
He gave away me tee time to someone else. That's just wrong. The good part is at least the manager refunded me for the cart which for some reason is not included at this course like most other courses.
Over all I would rather play somewhere else
Course in terrible condition - should not have been opened yet
As out of county, paid full price with cart +$80. Temp tees & greens. Cart path only with saturated fairways. Would have been OK if they warned or didn't charge full freight.
Course needs some work
This was opening weekend for the course and it showed. There was still some snow largely in the rough and some shady areas, they had 2 temporary greens, tees were all largely up front, bunkers hard and in needs of sand, and some fairways wet. Give it a month and I’m sure it will be more enjoyable to play. Easy course to walk.
0nly 13 holes and no greens
The greens were not open and each hole was really short. Should not open without fair warning. Not a real round of golf
Flanders 1/14/21
Good condition for the winter. Very challenging and a hard walk with all the slope changes. Paid $20 to play 14 holes, not too shabby
