About
Meadows Golf Club in Lincoln Park offers a casual and enjoyable round for players of all skill levels. For more of a challenge, golfers can try the blue tees while the white and the red tees are more forgiving of errant shots. The course sprawls across mostly flat terrain but there are a few subtly elevated greens to contend with. The layout is situated amidst native wetlands, which come into play on many of the holes. The back nine is more challenging than the front, with the toughest hole being the par-5 13th. At 455 yards, it's not a long hole but there are two large fairway bunkers and an elevated green that is surrounded by even more sand. The best view on the golf course can also be enjoyed from the middle of the green on this hole.

Great course
Meadows has made great strides and is the premier value course in the area. Staff is amazing and accommodating. Greens were incredible and it's late February. One of my favorite courses to play.

Best improved of north jersey
I haven’t played in a couple of years , and it has been improved tremendously , greens are good , fairways in good shape, new cartpaths , still aliitle swampy but nonodys fault but that mother nature cant help!

Much better than last time
Greens were in great shape compared to last time, if fairways get same treatment, this will become a great course since I think it’s already a fun layout.

This course was the worst course that i ever played.
woorillp, we’re sorry to hear of your less-than-satisfactory experience. Please understand that golf conditions are usually not ideal at any course in NJ during the winter months. We try to accommodate the hardcore golfers by staying open year round, weather-permitting. Horrible conditions even for winter; no notice
I have played here several times and the conditions are never good. What made this worse is that they are charging full summer prices in the winter. No wonder they only have the pay in advance option in the winter; they want to hide the conditions until after you have paid. I think its okay to have the flags in the fairway in the winter, but why charge full price? Same with no tee markers
justcollege1, we're sorry to hear that your visit was less than satisfactory. Please understand that the golfing conditions during the winter months are not ideal. We do in fact remove the tee markers to allow for the tee boxes to get a break during the winter, rather than the same small area being used constantly while grass is dormant, and golfers are free to play each hole from whichever tee position they would like. For this very reason, we do in fact lower our rates by 33-40% compared to our in-season rates. Lastly, the only tee times required to pay ahead are the Hot Deals and the ”Pay Now and Save” options, a GolfNow feature intended to save a few extra bucks for the golfer, but is by no means a requirement. Warning - DO NOT PLAY HERE
All flags were placed off of the green. There was no warning or posting that the greens were completely closed. Also the listing says “cart included” but there are no carts….
When the conditions require it, we do go to temporary greens during the winter, which unfortunately is usually not decided until the day of. We are located in a wet and marshy area to begin with so any significant amounts of rain during colder and darker winter days leads to soft enough conditions and a long enough drainage period that we are required to close the greens to protect them. Whether or not the greens are open though, is entirely weather dependent and given the opportunity, we happily have the actual greens in play as many days as possible. If you are going to play during the winter months, we recommend calling the golf shop before arriving to get up-to-date notice of course conditions.

Temp greens, awful condition, awful price
$40 for a round with no ability to put is absurd. The course is in horrific condition and we were not notified ahead of time that the greens would be closed. Never returning.
Thank you for sharing your review. As you have probably noticed, most golf courses here in New Jersey are not open during the winter, and those that are, are far from their best condition. That is part of the reality of a wet and cold winter, the norm here in New Jersey, where grass has gone dormant. We remain open nonetheless so that on the occasional nice winter day, our golfers have the opportunity to get out and hit the ball around while most other courses in NJ do not provide the same opportunity during the off-season. We appreciate those golfers that have a reasonable perspective, and are more than happy to continue to remain open for them.
