Tuesday at Golden Pheasant
First time at GF. Perfect day and great value. The only down side was the course policy against single carts.
Could have been a lot better for the price.
Had it not been for the rewards I used through Golf Now, this round could have been almost $60, and the conditions were just not that. Hadn’t rained for a few days, but the course was muddy and had several puddles in the fairways, hitting out of the rough was especially tough. Pacing was atrocious, slow foursome in front of us with no rangers at all throughout the day led to an almost 5 hour round. Course itself was good, back 9 had more variety than the front 9, but was still a pretty good course, just not for the full price that’s being asked.

Challenging
Great conditions, from tee box to green. Heavy rain last night made greens a little slow but conditions were 5 star. Will definitely play again.

Good course, excellent staff
Good golf course with very friendly staff. The tee times could have been more spaced out, but the rest of the players were friendly. Course was on okay condition, but the staff/atmosphere really made it. We'll def be coming back to this course to play ac ouple more rounds

Nice challenging course. Course was in great shape. Greens are crazy fast 10th hole slight up hill missed birdie put thought I had tap in par ball rolled past where I putted so put again right to the lip ball again rolled back where I was finally made that put but like I said crazy fast greens.

Super Greens
Friendly staff, course conditions good. Some fairways were being aerated but not a real inconvenience. The Greens were super, really well kept. Pin placements were devious.

Highly Recommend
This course is extremely beautiful with an exciting layout. The holes have nice views and elevation obstacles. The greens are tough; fast downhill and but very slow uphill. Can't beat this course for the price (I paid $20 for 18 holes and a cart on Tee Off).

Pace of play was the slowest I’ve ever experienced. They were overbooked & letting two somes out in front of us

FORE!
First time on the course played back to back days due to a fat finger hot spot purchase that was non refundable.
Older course with an older layout. Fairways are touching on 90% of the holes and tee boxes are right next the greens on majority of the holes. I'm sure in a perfect world or 20 years ago this was fine but during the covid era and many people taking up the sport it ends up in a never ending series of fore being yelled from multiple directions to the point that the joke was made that you might need a hard hat to play here.
Our twosome was paired up both times which is frustrating but they were decent people just trying to have a good time as well. Dont get in a hurry because on Sunday and Monday it was bumper to bumper.
Back nine is a little more relaxed and enjoyable but front nine can be madness.
Spend the money is what I Learned about jersey courses. Played blue heron today and very enjoyable, relaxing course is in great shape ,not a fore to be heard
All in all great course for a beer league but given the option if you are in town and looking to play one course this one isn't it

Good Conditions
Anyone that has been playing gold in SJ this season knows there are a lot of bad conditions out there. This is not one of them. Yea, there are a thin spot here or there, but for the most part good conditions. The golf cart l was in was in good condition. The tee boxes and fairways were good. The greens were in good shape, rolled consistent and fair speed. I didn’t enjoy the $60 fee... but considering the condition of many of the other courses in the area, l guess it’s what you have to do.

Glad I got a deal
The deal made it better. The course is not a $66 track. 75-80% all around. A lot of areas are rough.3.5 stars tops. A lot of side by side holes.. Greens were quick. Just under 4.5 hrs to play sunday A.M. White tees say 6000 yards but most of the holes are shorter then posted on the card. 5700 tops. 2 short par 3s, 2 over 160. One par 5 on the back was under 400 yards with no place further back to put a tee box. I’d play again for under $50. About an hour drive for me.gotta catch a deal to return.

The course is in great condition. Our tee time was 2:29.played behind 4 guys that though they were playing the us open. We were a three some and playing super fast. Waited for these guys on every hole until finishing at 7pm. These guys had no where to go after seeing them drinking beer in the parking lot. The course is a great Value for 59.00. Play on a week day. The staff is super super nice as well.
