About
Bowling Green Golf Club is in the heart of northern New Jersey, surrounded by miles of idyllic countryside. An abundance of mature oaks and towering red pines characterizes the scenic course. This quick, shady layout is a great round for walkers. The golf course has a classic links design that is easily played in less than four hours. Like most traditional links courses, the gently undulating terrain has the perfect pitch and roll. It also provides each hole with unique challenges that require accuracy and strategy. Trees heavily line the fairways, presenting some of the course's most formidable challenges. Bowling Green Golf Club's front nine is slightly more forgiving than the back nine, which incorporates the natural ponds and wetlands on a few holes. There are also some tricky doglegs to contend with.

Expensive
Having booked on GN - couldn’t cancel (rainy cold conditions). Yes this early in the season 3/25, kind of have to expect cold wet, but when it started to hail on the first hole kind of knew it would be hard. Sun came out on number2 but, wasn’t expecting to sit behind a novice 4sum group the entire rest of round - where were the marshals? Course might be a lot nicer in the real season, but it was expensive for GN. Guess I was expecting too much?
December golf in North Jersey
A beautiful day at one of my favorite courses. Cart path only was the only thing that brought down my rating a little. I love the layout, the setting and traditional feel of the course.
The course is mature and challenging. The fairways on the front 9 are somewhat narrow, so you need to manage your club selection based on your accuracy. Overall, the course is in great condition! Greens are fast and in very good condition.

Really nice conditions considering it’s mid October. Will definitely going back to play the course. I can only imagine what this course looks like in June. My boys and I really loved how true the greens rolled and how much they broke along with the speed. Challenging. We really enjoyed the round.
Good value
Good value - Good amenities & conditions make up for lack of course ingenuity, will play again but not bc of The unique course layout.
