A Great course for Beginners
My wife and I are Beginners and this course was highly recommended and I concur. There were experienced Golfers as well who seemed to enjoy it
Disgusted, horrendous condition.
Arrived and paid for full rounds for me and my partner. Then happened to see small badly handwritten note saying back 9 as well as hole 2 closed. I asked why no call or email, the pro shop guy gave a non answer and said quote " yeah I know, a lot of people came this morning and left upset"Ended up doing the front twice plus 2 holes. (No discount given BTW) There had been modest rain the night before but nothing heavy. The holes that were open were like playing through a boggy swamp, both fairways and greens. Pond sized standing water all over the course. Mosquito infested. Clearly there is zero drainage or preventative maintenance being done in any area of the course. The ground keeping manager should be fired . Will never come back
Springfield Golf Center
First time playing the course and definitely the last. The course is in terrible shape. Tee boxes are all crab grass and are torn up. Fairways are subpar with mud and holes. Greens aren’t terrible. First tee is infested with ground hornets. Course is a rip off for $50. I’ve played other courses for $35 that blow it out of the water. Maybe if they lowered the price it would be worth it.
Poorly kept
Tall grass everywhere. Even tee boxes were overgrown.
It’s a shame they don’t take care of this course because it could be nice.
Great beginners course
As a beginner, I appreciated the straight forward layout. I will definitely be back to utilize the chipping and putting greens as well!!
Poorly maintained
The course was very poorly maintained. There were some tee boxes entirely devoid of grass.
Golfed with an unskilled 4 some
I am a good golfer about 10 handicap, golfed with my unskilled friends. It’s an easy course with a nice short layout, fun relaxed setting, conditions could’ve been a little better but it’s worth the money

Very safe. Always a great value.
Staff improved
It was actually pleasant checking in. In the past ( I haven’t played there in at least a year) the counter guy would refuse to check you in until exactly the time reserved for golf now. Even if there was no one else playing. The course is in good shape for this time of year.
