My favorite
I like playing at the Meadows because the guys in the club house and starters are nice people. I have a County card and it is not the closest to me in the County but they are great to work with and I like to narrow challenges of the course.
Fun Course
The course is in really great shape. We played on a really windy day so Leaf Rule was in affect. Praying for some rain for the area though. Every course is struggling with the drougt. My lawn is brown like the winter already.
No maintenance for the fairway and tee box.
Very poor conditions without maintaining of tee box and fairway at all, so dry and no grass a lot of places. We will never play at this course at all. The only good part is rhe green.
Nice place to play
I always enjoy playing at the meadows. The staff is very accommodating and friendly.
Keep it moving
The course conditions were ok for it being fall. The pace of play was the worst I’ve seen in a while. 5 1/2 hour round was too much. I get trying to find your ball as much as possible but you shouldn’t be spending 5 or 10 plus minutes. If each person in a group of 4 each spend that much time looking for their ball, you’re adding a tremendous time to a round
Good couse
A good muni course , good price, real nice greens with ok fairways
Not worth the gimmick
Played 2 different 9 holes here. Fairways are burnt and bare with fertilizer all over the place.
The "Longest Hole in the US" gimmick was just that. The hole was just too long.
Greens were in great shape.
The water that comes into play on holes 3-9 on the Island was pretty cool though. The fountains were pretty. The other 9 hole was pretty standard.
Thank you for the feedback. We have had some irrigation breaks that we will be repairing so hope to see you when the course is up to par.
Not worth the usual fee
My golfing buddy kept talking this course up, so we had to try it before the end of the season. There was practically no one there on a Sunday, and I can see why. The fairways are either threadbare in a lot of places or just plain dirt. Not worth $77 a tee time. Luckily, with my GolfNow savings, I only paid $51. But my buddy who hadn't played here in two years was extremely disappointed in how the conditions had gone down hill.
Thank you for your feedback. We have had some irrigation issues this season that will be fixed for next season. Hope you will give us another chance next season.
Just needs some work...
Played here a few times, last was about 2 years ago. Staff is very nice, but course needs some work for sure. Nice layout. Most tee boxes were beat up, and several fairways were very patchy at best. Greens were in good shape. Just needs some serious TLC but would probably require closing the course for a while to make improvements.
Thank you for the comment. We have had some irrigation issue that will be addressed to get the course back into its usual shape.
Great design, horrible conditions
This could be an amazing track! Big boy holes, 400+ par 4's, and if you paid attention, the design is there. However, it is just in horrible shape. Overall the greens were fine, with the exception of some burn out and rot here and there, they rolled fine and were green. But the tee boxes and the fairways were a disaster. Particularly the fairways, had monster size weeds. Even the fertilizer which was spread was dried out in the burnout spots. Are they watering? Why bother spreading fertilizer if you aren't going to water. Nice oar 3's. Again, condition aside, the design was great. If I could find someone with $3MM + dollars, plus a talented greenskeeper, it could become a great track.
We appreciate the feedback. Some irrigation problems have caused the fairways to not be up to our usual standard. They will be addressed for next season.
Thank you for the positive review! Glad you enjoy The Meadows!
