About
The Pomona Golf Course is a nine-hole, public course nestled in the wilderness of Southern New Jersey. The flat, wide course is geared more towards beginners so experienced golfers might not get much besides light practice on this course.
Pomona Golf Course is also located minutes away from casinos and entertainment. The course plays to a par of 32 with 2,426 yards at the longest tees. Detailed directions are needed since the golf course is somewhat hard to find if you are not familiar with the area since there are no signs of how to get there along the roads. Credit cards aren't accepted either, cash only.

Nice course
A lot of dog legs made you think on whether to fade/hook your driver or use your irons for proper placement. I would play here again.

What to expect
These are just facts these are not negative nor positive.. This is a cash only course which the site does not tell you. Alcohol served at the clubhouse is for members only. The limited website states a new layout, but that write up was from 2014, that’s probably when the last update was constructed. While we were there a team of golfers had to switch carts because there’s died.
It seems like a Tight-knit golf community.

SO MUCH FUN!!!
Took my 10 yr old son out for a round. He loved the course as did I.
We frequent many local courses and by far this course will be one we will go to again and again.
The gentleman inside was very friendly.
The course was in great shape.
Fairway was well maintained.
Greens rolled well.
Slopes gave a nice challenge.
Play moved perfectly.
Can not wait to go again.
Really nice and out of the way
I’ve played here a few times with my son, and even my father who’s been playing since he was 8. He likes the course so much that he’s even brought his golf buddies to play.

Great beginner’s course
Took my 13 year old out, great course for him to learn the game on.
Improvements Needed - All Around
Should have seen it coming. Greeted in clubhouse by staff member who immediately complained of overlapping tee times, none of which was our fault. Then on hole three reprimanded by groundskeeper for parking cart on cart path where see had been planted (but no marks or rope off). We are not mind readers. And course in awful condition. Groundskeeper should have been more attentive to that as opposed to s small piece of the path. Then on hole eight approached by club member playing in front of us about a ball almost hitting them. Yes they were, but the shot came from across on a different hole as we had not yet teed off. Falsely accused. Not a good experience.

Get what you pay for and then a little less
9 hole course that looks and plays like what you would expect if your neighbor had a lot of land, with trees, and decided to cut out a golf course on his own, behind his house .
Only one set of tees - no senior, no ladies, just blues. Tee boxes in poor shape, some tee locations set up under overhanging trees which prohibited a normal tee shot
Greens had numerous dirt patches.
Fairways at times were just dirt, or mud
Pace of play was extremely slow, it looks like maybe a course a lot of beginners play, and we happen to be stuck behind a foursome, who each kept taking multiple tee shots. and shots during the hole, and no ranger there to speed them along, just led to a huge bottleneck
Only accepts cash to pay - which came as a shock
People running the course were extremely friendly and nice.
Overall cost was 23.00 for 9 holes, so I sort of expected to get what I paid for, but this was even less.
If want to play this course, I would look for a special or hot deal, which might make ti worth it if you just wanted to sneak in a relatively easy 9 hole course

I love this course!
I just started playing golf this summer. I took lessons at this course and play on the course and/or practice on the driving range about twice a week. I really enjoy this place. It is well kept and natural. The staff are very friendly snd helpful. The ladies’ scrambles this summer were great for getting out there as a beginner to play and meet people. I highly recommend Pomona Golf and Country Club if you want a comfortable relaxed place to play 9 holes. Excellent prices.
