Very Playable Public Course
Course is in great shape and is just challenging enough to make it a good day on the golf course. Always love playing here and would recommend it for all.
Very nice
Tee boxes are a bit chewed up, but it seems every course is that way these days. Is it because more golf is being played?
Okay day
Guy in the pro shop needs some customer service training. Totally clueless of his demeanor, otherwise good day on the course.
Course was in good shape for November. Some greens are a little bumpy but otherwise pretty true and quick. Some tough pin placements on a few greens. All in all a very enjoyable round. Would definitely recommend this course for any time of year. I have played it in all seasons.
Poor customer service
I’ve played Mercer Oaks courses several times, and have generally enjoyed playing there. The course conditions need improvement, there is grass growing in the bunkers and the tee boxes need a lot of attention. We started our round after 2 pm, so we knew it was going to be close getting all 18 holes in. When we checked in, and spoke with the Starter, no one said the carts had to be returned at a specific time. At the turn the starter pops up and says carts have to be in by 6:10 pm. The pace of play was okay on the front 9, but really slowed down on the back nine. While on the 17th tee, waiting again for the group in front of us, a staff member drove by to remind us about the carts. He specifically told us we’d be the last group allowed to finish. We got to the 18th tee, and had to wait again, we hit our drives when a different staff member said we had to take the carts in immediately. We tried to explain that we were told we could finish, but he didn’t want to hear anything. His tone was rude and condescending with zero hint of empathy or customer service. We picked up our tee shots and left, and I doubt we’ll be back.
Nice and hilly need some spot a pots
Beautiful wide open course lots of sand. Big downside was not even a spot a pot to be found for many holes. As a female player I can’t just get lost in the woods.
Nice course
Overall great course especially for the hot deal price I paid. Lots of high grass though. Lost a lot of balls and none of them were because of trees or water.. just couldn’t find the balls in the long rough crab grass. The staff was great and I’m no pro so I was still very happy with the course! Beautiful scenery too, I’m sure the fall is wonderful
