Mercer Oaks Golf Course - East Course

This is a fun track with lots of beauty and golfing challenges. It was cold, but the sun was out making it a fun and enjoyable day. The course was in great shape and the leaves were taken care so it was easy to play and find the ball. I walked and we finished in less than four hours. Overall, a really fun golf experience.

An amazing deal...under $20 on a weekday.

Played 14 in 2 hours then from 15 on there were 4 groups waiting. Took an extra hour to play the last 4 holes.

Still good pace overall but annoying that nothing was done to move play along.

Course is in good shape and is outstanding for a muni.

One of the best public courses in the central area of NewJersey.

Was fortunate to grab a 12 PM Sunday tee time through GolfNow and really enjoyed myself. I think it was in the kind of shape you'd expect from a $100 round place, not a county course. Most of my tee shots really had me thinking about strategy; I only used the driver 4 or 5 times. A lot of multi-tiered greens make the approach shots tricky, too. My inability to figure out putting was entirely on me, the surface was in good shape. The 17th kind of messes with your head, as you leave the links style set up for one Par 4 that played longer than it looks in the woods, then 18 ends things with a nice long Par 5 into the wind.

Got through the round in under 4 hours, only waited for the group ahead of us when they were putting on 18. Group behind us maybe waited for us once or twice on a Par 3.

Beer cart only came through twice (I think she was also handling the West course) and could've used some variety. Was hoping there'd be something local in there. Prices were cheap, though ($5 for a Goose Island).

Couldn't be happier with my day. Definitely worth the price and drive down from Hoboken.

First time I’ve ever played the East and there was no wind at all. Everything about this facility is 5 star!

12 min tee times. Pace was 4:10.

Conditions were outstanding.

Always great conditions...each hole with a unique layout...with wide fairways. Hole 13 par 5 with water in play, hit an eagle today with Driver/3 wood/5’ putt.

Probably just because the season is winding down, but some of the fairways are chunked up from heavy play after all the rain we had. Overall good round aside from the pace.

Played second time here. But the greens are not well maintained compared to summer time.

Played as a single. Grouped with three great guys. All good golfers. Played from the white tees. Holes all unique. Many strategically placed bunkers. Tee boxes and fairways in very good shape. Greens decent. Had slow group in front that we waited on almost every hole. Had group in back hit up on one green on front nine as we walked off. One women in that group drove up in front of me as I was teeing off on another hole. If not for one of my group telling me to stop, I would have likely swung and may have hit her. Later on I think hole 14, a short par 4, she drives up to another of our group while teeing off to tell us to speed up. The group in front had just walked off and all in group can hit 260plus. She wouldn’t stop complaining. She could have seen at least 3 of us hit fringe of green if she wasn’t clueless. Later on 17, she again hit up on us. Very frustrating. A person like this should not be out there. Funny thing, we still played in 4 hours.

Great course! Fairways and greens are impeccable! Course is challenging and fun.

Condition was great for the time of year. Walked 18 in 3.5 hours so pace was excellent
