Great condition
The course is in the best condition of any course’s in town. The greens are great! The bunkers are in good shape. Other golf courses have weeds and lots of rocks. The faraways are in good condition. Looking forward to playing here more often if they offer more Hot Deals through Golf Now. Good work workers and green keeper!
Good Course
Overall a good course! Bunkers are best in town well maintained. Greens are coming back after treating for winter, should be great for playing in another week
Great course
Course was in great shape and very enjoyable to play. Will definitely place this again and again
Decent day.
The round was pretty decent. Started getting warm early but didn't see the beverage cart until the back nine. Also no on was attending carts had to go up and ask the employee at the golf shop to check on which cart to take if we could.
NMSU Golf Course
This golf course was great looking. The fairways in great condition, the rough was tough and the greens in good shape. Good scores are there for the taking.
Good but could be better
This was our first time playing here. Maybe we are spoiled at Red Hawk, but what I disliked could easily be fixed.
The course was in excellent condition. So I am giving that 4 stars. However, with temps close to 100 degrees I was very disappointed in the beverage service. At Red Hawk the cart drives the course so you see them every 3 holes or so. Not here. They were parked at the 9th hole when we finally saw them. We even called the pro shop to ask status as we were quickly becoming dehydrated. (partly from being spoiled at RH). I even resorted to trying the water spigots. Thank goodness one worked!
We were unsure of the rules on drinks at this course so went by RH rules of no outside drinks. Had I known the cart wouldn't be coming around as often I would have brought my own water. So note to anyone playing here for the first time BRING YOUR OWN WATER!!
Enjoyable Course
I’m relatively new at golf. I like this course a lot. Very challenging but not so much that it isn’t fun. My friends who have played for decades also find it challenging.
Excellent University course
My winter round at NMSU was excellent. The dormant bermuda provided good lies. The greens were in good shape. I understand they are planning major changes to the course in the near future with development of commercial property on 6 holes and building and re-routing 6 new holes. This is an excellent value and excellent option for winter golf. Easy to walk.
