Although it's only an hour from New York City, the Garrison's secluded location nestled in the Hudson Highlands makes it feel much further. Perched 800 feet above the Hudson River, the 18-hole Garrison golf course offers panoramic views of the river and the surrounding mountains. As beautiful as the rolling hills are, they provide a challenging topography that will keep you from being distracted by the scenery. The rolling greens are flanked with bunkers and water. In addition to the uphill, downhill, and side hill lies, you can expect a few tough carries over deep ravines and stands of mature oaks along the fairways. The elevation changes are especially dramatic on the front nine while the back nine is a bit more open and forgiving, but you'll still need accuracy throughout the entire golf course.

Great super nice place to play..
Very nice course, wounderful setting. Great Value. The greens were a little rough on the back 9, but I am sure they will be great in a week or two.. This place is a must play.

They have made some great little changes to the course. it is in good shape for this time of year. the scenary is breathtaking
Good course and very challenging.
Course maintained well and in good conditions to play. Pace of play was good too.
Nice course great views brutal pace of play
Played the day after Thanksgiving and the pace of play was intollerable but the course was in nice shape. Most of the holes are fine but # 2 is a killer, no way to fix it but it's too punishing and it kills the pace of play, 3 foursome's at the tee every time.
Good, Not Great
Course has some great views of the Hudson and some very challenging PAR 3's. Course tends to get flooded on the holes by the river but unsure if the can fix that issue. Go during off peak hours or get killed by slow pace. Maybe it is just too difficult for the average golfer and it makes for slow play. Narrow, trees, elevation changes, water, bunkers, it is a tough course. Practice facility is below average.
