Course Highlights
This Pete Dye design earns high praise for its challenging layout, with blind shots, narrow fairways, and severely undulating greens that reward skilled play. Knowledgeable staff, pristine fairways, and a smooth pace of play consistently elevate the overall experience.

Not worth it.

Overpriced, snooty and tricked up. The old nine holer that used to be here was a better place to play!

Sweet track!

Excellent, challenging but fair course. Overall in excellent shape but greens were recently punched so a bit slow and bumpy. Would play again at after 2pm rate in a heartbeat. Full fare is a bit much though.

An Underrated Golf Course

Pound Ridge is overall, an excellent golfing experience. With a slope from the tips in the mid 140's, this is definitely the best public golf course in Westchester, in terms of difficulty. Other than Bethpage Black, it is probably the best in the metro area for public courses. The layout is difficult, but not that it is unplayable. In addition, the course is in great condition, just like at a top notch private club, and many of the holes are so extremely well-designed, and beautiful that you forget NYC is only 40 or so minutes to the south. It is a must play, and is worthy of at least consideration for a professional tournament at some level.

A must-play at least once.

Beautiful course in great shape. Every hole is a completely different challenge. I understand why a round costs $195 but it would be great if they could get it under $100 - I would play it all the time.

Impressive but needs to be played more than once to "get it"

Impressive course, but difficult to enjoy and play well if you haven't seen it before. Greens are a carnival ride. To fast for the amount of undulation. Undulation is putting it mildly. In shop staff friendly
Outside staff some what grumpy.
Over priced. But for the affluent area, priced accordingly. Still, wouldn't pay "hot deal" price of $150. again.

Nice course, staff could have been more accomodating

Got to the course 2.5 hours before my tee time because a meeting of mine was cancelled. I was a single and the course was almost empty so i asked the manager if he could set me up with a group a little earlier. Was told that because I booked through golf now they would not let me tee off a minute before my tee time. Other than that, course was very nice and in great condition. Greens were fast and the views were nice. It is an advantage to know the course before you play it due to many blind shots. GPS on the carts were convenient. Although it is an expensive round, it was worth it. I hope to play it again next summer.

Great course but expensive

Very challenging, well maintained course. Staff was friendly and helpful. Green fees include complimentary water bottle, towel, tees, range balls, book & cart with GPS. The pro shop, bathrooms and food area were clean but placed inside temporary construction trailers put together.

The only reason I put down average value because the greens fees are super high.

Very difficult from the tips

Great challenge. Played with my 16 year old son who is a 4 handicap to my 24 We were treated like gold from the minute we arrived. We paid 120 bucks each to play after 3 PM which is pretty steep. We played from the black tees which was very difficult for me. 5 tee options so play back only if you have the ability Great fairways if you can hit them. Rolling fairways which force you to hit draws and fades from tough positions. Greens were well protected with many false fronts and backs. Unfortunately they were aerating the greens so the roll was inconsistent which was disappointing You can order lunch on the 9th tee from a call box and they deliver to you on the 10 th green which was a nice touch. I highly recommend this course but play from the proper tees. At 7400 plus yards my son shot 78 to my 106. A lot of money to get beaten up that bad but many holes are pga tour worthy. I will play there again

Great golf, staffing needs attention

The course is exceptionally beautiful and challenging, but maybe needs a couple more years to completely grow in. The starter staff looked bored, and were not terribly friendly. Our foursome was pestered later in our round by a series of singles coming up behind us and requesting to play through. Failure to group singles together seems like a management issue. We let one single through, but it significantly interrupted the round. Then we refused to let the next guy through, and he was annoyed.

Great course by challenging

Course is in great shape, but very challenging lay out. Fairways very narrow and even if you land on the fairway you're often on a hill. But it is in really good condition and the holes are fun to play.
