Needs work
Greens were excellent given the time of year but the tee boxes were dreadful and fairways were often bare. Definitely went downhill since the virus broke.
It's better than Dyker!
As a BKLYN golfer I don't mind driving 25 minutes and heading into SI for a round of golf; reason being the only other option is the dreadful Dyker couse which is always packed and you end up having a 5.5 hour round of golf. LaTourette plays so much faster...I played it 5 times this season and never had to wait. The only downside with all these NYC courses is that even in Dec you have to pay $60 bucks for a round; unless you get one of those hotdeals, but you have to play at a set time of their choice. In summary - it's worth it, (especially if you live near the course) even if you come over from Bay Ridge.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
What a piece of $#!¥! This course has a spectacular layout. That is it. Everything else is horrific. Pace of play at ALL NYC area courses is putrid but at least Moshulu, Van Cortlandt and Pelham/Split Rock have reasonable conditions.
They need to shut it down - you’re going to be very irritated if you waste your money. Make the city or whomever operates this is place put $ into it. I’d rather have it shut down than play here. And don’t get me started about the staff rudeness.
ZERO STARS. What a shame (only due to spectacular layout)
What happened!
Two stars because the greens were pretty good, otherwise, every tee box was dirt, the fairways had bare spots and a lot of weeds. Is it because of COVID restrictions? Maybe; however NJ courses look great during this same pandemic. Save your money.
To many pedestrians
The course was in ok condition especially with the pandemic going on. The fairway had outside pedestrians constantly crossing in front of us while teeing off. Joggers on the cart paths all day. Course needs a marshal desperately!
