Second Round
Tried this count though it was a bit of a drive. We got paired up with 2 other golfers that were nice and patient with our pace of play. Overall a nice course and a nice day.
It is want it is if you like fantastic golf course well you’re not gonna get it. Average golf course goes slow greens. But it’s what I expected for about $100
Pace Was Too Slow
Backed up almost as soon as we started. Either need to put out a marshal or space out tee time a few more minutes!
Great layout
Course has a fun layout in a beautiful setting. The only issue is the condition of the greens. lots of sandy areas on them. Looks to me that they need to maybe replace at least half of them in the near future. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Love the abundance of wildlife!
Improving every week
Course conditions continue to improve each time we play here. Friendly and helpful service. There is more challenging, and certainly there is less expensive golf elsewhere, but for convenience and comfort, we like Sanibel Island GC.
Great Layout
We enjoyed the course, but felt the value was better placed at no more than $75 per...citing no warmup/ practice facility, very small greens, no potable water on the course and no roving food/drink cart.
Nice layout with beautiful scenery
With a little more TLC this could be one of the most enjoyable tracks in SWF
Greens
Nice course,, good layout. Greens were slow some on the front nine should be replanted. That said the fair ways were good, and the course was very playable. Pace of play, not so good 5 hour round, I would definitely play it again, although I don’t think I’d pay more then 60
Second best option on the island.
The conditions were being upgraded as we speak.The course was dry and slow, but how can you beat a day in the sunshine with so many iguanas, birds and at least one gator your hanging with. Starting on the back nine, seemed like it would be an easy day but had to think and play much better shots to end strong.
Greens are “work in progress”.
Nice course that was relatively easy to schedule. Greens are a bit small and work in progress. Seem to be getting better than reported by others earlier in the year so making progress. No marshall to keep things moving so we were waiting quite a bit. No refreshment cart.
