Hickory Hill Golf Course

Was between a 3 and 4 star review here… first off, the price was quite reasonable at $45 for 18 holes and a cart booking the day of. My other options were all in $70+ range. I was a little disappointed to get there and have the cashier say that if I had just booked thru the course instead of golf now it would have been $42, but it is what it is. The people working there are nice and helpful and overall great people. Positives about the course: feels quiet and secluded, and the overall pace of play was better than a lot of other more crowded courses. The groundskeeping can use some work in my opinion. A LOT of deep rough and the fairways blend in with it at times where it just looks like someone’s backyard filled with dandelions. Also, when cutting the grass it’s not collected so instead on a wet day the cut grass ends up all over your feet and the cart. There are a lot of elevation changes on certain holes, you tee off and don’t see it land making it extremely difficult to find your ball, even decent shots right off the edge of the fairway. All in all I would recommend it due to the price and the people, but the course itself is nothing special.

This is not a course that is going to get a pro event. It is a good practice course for fun when you have friends that are not into golf. Course is a good time for a leisurely round. They have made major improvements by clearing some trees and brush. The greens are slow but in great condition. They have a lot of slope to them so better slower than fast for this course. Nice day.

Nice course pleasant to play. Good pace but watch out to brake down the hills.
