Forest Park Golf Course

Pace of play on the course was totally out of control.

Lots of frustration and arguments amongst groups.

The Starter does a good job, but someone needs to be on the course policing slow play, mulligans and groups of more than four!

I mainly go here because it's so close and the best out of all the muni's in NYC. Pace of play was slow due to a group that was mucking around. Not the course's fault. Called the pro shop and they dealt with it perfectly.

Remember, NYC courses. have a lot of foot traffic and the rates for Muni's are cheap. If you're looking for pristine conditions, you have to go out to long island or new jersey.

A hot day low humidity, fairway sprinklers going,, greens holding, not a bad day . Lost two balls playing ending holes, blame the heat

Course would be a better pkk lmk ace to play if they took care of greens , they need cutting and rolled

Fairways and greens in great shape considering we have been in a drought all summer. Tee boxes burnt out but this is expected in August. Overall love this course except for pace of play. I don't know why we still have walkers, carts should be mandatory. Or if you're walking you should be the only one looking for your ball especially when the other players are on the opposite side of the fairway. Just drop and play on.

Had a 20 foot birdie putt but green was so bad ball completely stopped 1/3 way to hole … 2 holes back to back around 410 from the tips one is par 5 ne t is par 4. Last hole was par 5 400 yards. The whole course greens teeboxes are a mess… 55 dollars with cart and golfnow discount is so not worth it. Round isn’t worth 10 dollars to play. Please fix this course

I play here a lot due to convenience. But it’s getting frustrating seeing how the tee boxes remain in such bad condition. Seeing how busy the course is and how much money it must be making, there’s no excuse for how the course is falling behind in terms of condition.

From the moment you arrive you are greeted by the equivalent of the surly teenagers who work at a local Wendy’s except these are grown men. From the first tee will witness crappy tee shot after crappier tee shot compounded by mindless and needless slow play.

Then we get to this jewel of a golf course which obviously has no superintendent to figure out how to get the tee boxes in order.

Back to the hackers. They have zero etiquette. Don’t know what a ball mark is for the rare occasion they hit the green from more than a close pitch away. They don’t know how to park the carts properly and leave them in front of greens. It’s a mess.
