Golfer Reviews
One of my faves.
I always play well here and meet interesting and nice golfers. That’s why I golf here often.
Always One of My Favorites
I play my best golf here. I love the setting. and the employees are very welcoming.
Playing Late During Fall Season
So many leaves on the fairway & greens. You have to clear the path of your ball towards the hole. This is understandable since it is Fall season.
But there are so many bird (geese?) droppings on the fairways.
Also, the green on #9 & tee-off area of #10 is so close & dangerous for golfers teeing-off on #10.
This is a fun, friendly, challenging course. somewhat short course, but don't let that fooled you with the narrow tree line fairways. The course conditions there are on a constant upgrade for the better. Thank you for the improvement every year.
Not worth paying 75 bucks for 18 when some of the tee boxes are literally all dirt no grass. I went with a friend that wanted to play here so I was stuck in the automatic 5 1/2 rd madness.
Course condition and cost
Fall leaves all over the fairways and tees. If maintenance unavailable then at least lower the price for poor course conditions which results in longer pace of play.
Forest hills is Sexy
Beautiful course, greens rolling well, sand was great for a mini, tee boxes need a lot of work.
The Usual
It's NYC public course, it gets beaten up by the traffic. I play FP quite often as it's easy to get to and find that it's better to play a round there than going to the driving range to hit 200 balls with no purpose.
FP is great practice course.
Most tee boxes are straight up dirt, don't play FP if you're afraid to scuff up your new clubs. But that said, fairways are in decent shape and greens too. Pace of play is always bad, lots of beginners there who don't know their way around a golf course.
Good round
Beautiful day in Nov, so course was full. Little slow to start but opened up after the 4th. Tee boxes were pretty shabby on some holes but overall course was in great shape.
Nice Layout
Fun layout. Course management is important ie: when not to hit driver. Tight fairways but nice variety. Score-able. Lots of trees.
Tee boxes need a serious facelift.
Rough needs to be shorter especially this time of year with leaves falling. Often difficult to find the ball after a decent shot.
Pace of play was great (Monday, 11:30am).
Great pace, overall great shape, tee boxes need work.
Never played here before. Besides about 5 or 6 tee boxes that were completely dirt, the course was in great shape. If they could fix those tee boxes I would give it 5 stars.
