Golfer Reviews
Easy Course, Fun Round
Fun, easy course with some good par 3s and easy chances for birdie. Will definitely play again.
Always Enjoyable
I always like playing here and I enjoy the friendly staff. They need to spread out the foursomes more. I had the misfortune of being sandwiched between obnoxiously slow milennials in front of us and equally obnoxious milennials behind us who played up on us and made offensive comments.
Not going back
Pretty disappointed to see the course in WORSE condition than it was in 2020, and the same condition it was in back in April. You can get away with that in April when the season has barely opened. But to have tee boxes that are simply mud without one blade of grass on them is a joke. Just shows they don't care. For that price, you're better off driving a half hour further for better conditions. Bummer.
Best course in Queens
Great layout, well kept greens, solid value. Only complaint is that a few of the tee boxes are eaten up, not surprising for this late in the season.
Hidden gem
Never played in Queens before. Just discovered this course, played it once and came back for more right away. Not an easy course but, very interesting layout. Nice staff, clean facilities.
Slow round, poor tee boxes, fake par 5s
Good: fairways and greens were in playable condition. Greens were slow, but rolled true. We teed off on time and staff was ok. Close to the city and cheap.
Bad- tee boxes were punched out and basically hardened mud. 6 hour round. With the tee boxes where they were the par 5s played about 415 yards- in fact other par 4s in the course play longer than the par 5s. The holes are very close together and you can expect a lot of “fours!” coming your way- especially since most golfers there are beginners. Keep your head on a swivel!
Good Muni
Played on a Tuesday @11:20am. No delays. Course in decent condition and very nice to see they’ve been doing maintenance.
Many tee-boxes are in rough shape but they are clearly marked.
Fairways were great. Greens were fine.
It’s a narrow course so accuracy off the tee is key here. You don’t need to be a big hitter to hit par.
Recommended.
Always a fun round
