Nice little NYC muny
Forest Park is a fun little course in deep Queens. Fairways and greens nicely kept up, some of the tee boxes were a little grungy, but not enough to really detract. Biggest drawbacks are that the clubhouse doesn’t link up with the turn, some of the greens are dangerously close to the tee boxes, and if you’re unfamiliar with the layout, the signage ain’t great. But these are minor quibbles for what’s otherwise easily one of NYC’s best public courses.
Probably best city track
Fairways were in relatively good shape, however several tee boxes were just dirt, actually hard to find some grass on them.
Greens were slow.
Overall good course but wasn’t particularly scenic or challenging. Probably the best of the city courses I’ve played.

Fairway is well maintained.
Amazing pace for a city course.
We played as a twosome in 3hrs 15 minutes, which is pretty amazing. Granted we started at 745 am, but I still thought it would be slower. Helped that there were only 2-somes ahead of us.
Fairways were in very good condition. Some teeboxes were pretty much dirt only from the blue tees, but didn't ruin my round or day. Greens were slow but rolled pretty true. Hit a 75 so I ended the day pretty happy and the fact that it was only 3 hours made it that much better.

For fun round comvenient to Manhattan, its the place

I do not know why this course missing offer the schedule in GolfNow in the early July. Hope it not happen again.
A Hidden Gem!
I returned to play again at Forest Park and it was delightful! The greens were in really good shape and the course moved along nicely. Will definitely return!
Drained well
Played this literally the afternoon after Elsa left town. For as much rain as we got (and what some places in NYC looked like) the golf course was in great shape. Some tee boxes are still under repair. Many yardage signs are way over yardage. And the greens are so incredibly sloooow, even without the rain. But other than that, it’s a good layout that is challenging in some places and rewarding in others.
Another Good Day in the Park
Despite very slow greens and a person in the foursome ahead of us who lined up every shot like he was in the PGA, I enjoyued the course like I always do.
Great Round!
I recently played here and thought the course was in great shape and well kept up. I will definitely be back!
