Good Course
Was in good condition for the season. Layout looks like it can be tricky when trees are in full bloom. A few holes, especially 16,17,18 are very close together and will have people playing in every imaginable direction.
winter golf
Had to walk the course today because I was told there was still snow on the course. That was true but all the cart paths were clear and dry. "Cart Path Only" would have been fine and made our day a lot more golf friendly.
Good product
Not in good condition due mainly to lots of rain the day before. Still a fun course to play
Worst of the NYC Area Courses
Forest Park has to be the worst of the NYC area courses. Greens were hardly cut and were patchy. I guess you can't complain for a $37 twilight rate but I would much rather go to Clearview Park if I am in Queens or Split Rock/Pelham Bay are both very good for the money. I will not be coming back to Forest Park.
Nice course but a little slow
Course wasn’t as crowded due to early rain but pace of play was still quite slow. Play would probably improve if course had a driving range, at least for irons. Every time I play here first few holes for many are bad, and it slows down the pace. Also would like to see greens taken care of better by patrons.

The staff at Forest Park Golf course are friendly and helpful with everything. Great people.

Elevated tee’s, the greens are in great shape, some exciting holes, great price for a round of golf!!!!
Nice Course
Very nice, short but challenging course with fun lay out. It was a beautiful day, played late in the day, so good pace of play. Snack shop made us hamburgers after even though it was late. Friendly staff.
Good experience
It’s a good experience. Staff were so helpful and the course is beautifully laid-out.
Winter conditions
Course is still in winter conditions. Greens hasn’t been aerated yet and it’s unbelievable how many divots are not repaired.....
Solid for the price.
Parking is an issue! You are better off in a car pool or better yet uber it. Course fun and not over the top difficult. 5-6 hr round is in play ouch.
