Different challenges on front & back 9s

The front nine is very tight and you could easily go without using a driver or three wood for most of those holes. There’s a little bit more room to miss on the back nine.

You can definitely walk this course since it’s barely 6000 yards and the hills are mostly on the front. Nine conditions were fine on Memorial Day and for a place that must get a ton of play. It was in good condition.

Back patio area overlooks the 10th tee and the bar inside was well appointed and quick to serve at the turn.

Course was in good shape here. Greens were pretty quick, fairways/tees/bunkers were in pretty good shape. Pace was pretty quick on this Wednesday morning, got around in about 3.5 hours, maybe a bit less. Dunwoodie is a good, reliable option close to the city. Definitely will be back.

Dunwoodie is a nice, short course that fits this mid-high handicapper’s game well. My low overall rating for this particular round is because the greens were

recently aerated and still full of punch marks and sand. I’m sure the course will be much nicer in a few weeks
