Great day.
Sunday afternoon,3pm,teed off early.dry but course is in great shape.played 18 in less than 4. Hrs.Highly Recommend.
Beautiful Views
Course is in excellent conditions, great views of NY skyline, plenty of hills Love this course.
Dunwoodie
Excellent course for beginner, intermediate player. Course is very well kept. Carts have good working gps. As a beginner/intermediate player I find it perfect for my level.
Great Sprinkler System
Great Sprinkler System keeps the fairways & greens in good shape all day long. I was impressed at how good the course played despite recent dry weather.
Great deal nice course
Great deal.... nice course....
It's a great course because the approximate to my home. It is well-maintained for a Westchester course and well worth the money, especially with the great golf now deals ! !
Interesting Course layout
The front nine are played off the sides of hills , are fairly narrow, and unforgiving. Leave your driver in the bag and use your 3 & 5 woods off the green. A great course to tune up your irons game. Greens are slow but deceiving. The back nine is more open and accessible to long drives. Hazards are well placed but fair. As notes we both shaved 4-6 strokes on the back vs. the front. Interesting course and will play it again. Soon.
Good Day
course was in good shape and the place was empty. it was a hot day but well worth the $$.
Narrow fairways
I played this course twice this year, I enjoyed it, it allows me or forces me to use more iron shots, because narrow fairways scare me when using a driver, lol. The greens were good, the fairways tight and challenging, the course is not long as if that makes a difference in my scoring. I recommend this course especially for short hitters like me. A few blind shots that offer some excitement. It's was very entertaining and the 18th par 3 offers a beautiful view of NYC.
Really Impressed
We paid $51 to ride on a weekday in July '15- this is a great course for that money and this close to NYC. I think it's $64 to ride on weekends for non-Westchester parks card holders- I'd be fine paying that if I had to (though I'm not sure about pace of play on weekends).
The course is fairly short, but lots of undulation and blind tee shots make it tougher than the yardage would have you believe. I remember lots of holes where I got to the box and said "this hole looks really cool."
Course was in very good shape when we were there, although the traps we pretty hard (but then I've played a course where the traps were a good place to be). The greens were relatively slow (but not terrible), and I felt easy to score on. I swear their cups were bigger than regulation, but maybe I was just feeling unusually confident with the putter.
Clubhouse wasn't anything memorable, but had a bar and we were able to pick up hot dogs and beers at the turn for a pretty reasonable price.
Pace of play was ok- apparently there were two walking foursomes a few groups ahead, so we did have to wait on most boxes, but it wasn't terrible (~4:30 for the round, and our pace was partially slowed by one of my guys having a particularly rough day). I do worry what the pace is like on the weekends though.
So all in all, I'd say it's an interesting course that's challenging and in good shape, but allows enough good shots for the average golfer to enjoy themselves. And again, this close to NYC, it's hard to find better.
Good course, great for the money
I played for the first time and got a great deal $30 for 18 with a cart. The course was in very good condition and fun to play. The front 9 was tight and I lost a few balls but the back 9 opened up and I ended with a good score. Nice electric carts with GPS in them helped because on some holes you couldn't even seen where you were aiming so the carts really helped. I went with a friend and we got paired up with two others. The pace was good, we didn't have to wait and weren't pushed. I plan to try and play this course again, especially if I can get that deal again.
This course i could recommend to everyone
I had play this course about 8 times already and is this is One of nicest courses around to play at,water is safe to drink, carts are pretty Well equipped.
First timers
First time in the Yonkers area. Yes, the course is shorter, my husband only had to use the driver for the par 5's but so pretty. We are trying to explore golf courses outside our bubble. Last year we discovered Patriot hills through GolfNow, so we were not disappointed here. Thank goodness weather held up and we were able to get 16 holes in before downpours. Staff super friendly allowing us to start a little sooner. Pace was slow at first but opened up after a few holes. On the back nine, a group jumped in front of the group in front of us and the ranger was right on it. Fun despite lousy weather
short but tough
The course is a little shorter than most, but your shots have to be precise due to some narrow fairways with a lot of elvation changes
Slow but good for the price
Is a good course. It have a range putting chipping is a slow pace be prepared to wait.
Good Round
played on 5/24 at 11:30a.. two of us were able to play in under four hours. Very short course, no need for driver on a lot of holes. One hole had a fairway under repair, but otherwise course was in great shape. Golf carts have GPS and distances, which helps the average golfer immensely. Probably my favorite course in the area.
Slow
Quite a few groups moving very slow and little was done to speed up play. I like this course but the lack of urgency led to a 5+ hour round. Disappointing
Nice Golf place
Had fun playing at this golf. I would recommend this place
Good Day
Booked as a single, immediately paired up. Good pace for a Sunday afternoon, will definitely return.
Nice course to ease into the season
This course is about accuracy and discipline. There is no need for the driver until the Par 5 hole 6, which even then may not be required.
Played a manageable 5-hour round. It didn't feel like 5-hrs however. The pace picked up after the 4th hole and not once did the group behind have to wait on their shots.
