Temporary Greens Terrible
Course was fairly nice but they had temporary greens for 14 holes due to work on greens. Staff member first thing asked me if I knew about the greens and of course I hadn't. He apologized about thta and said he has been trying to get GolfNow to put it on the website with no success. Definitely would've picked somewhere else, if I would've known about the greens.
Many of the greens were under repair
I didn’t get the green status until I check in at the club house. Many of the greens were under repair and there were temporary greens with short dried grasses in the fairway before the real greens. We gave up recording stokes and play tee shots and approaches because of the rough grassed temporary greens.
Great place !
Head Pro and staff are awesome ! Greens are always fast !!! Great spot !
Always a treat to play
Ayden is a hidden gem in the Greenville NC area. The course is a semi-private course that is open to the public. What I love about the course is the layout and the varied challenges it offers. Fun par fours, long and short threes, getable (well not me) fives. The greens do have a bare spot or two (often on the edges) but roll true. The bunkers have sone of the nicest sand in the area. Water is not in play too often, but enough to make you think a little. Pace was reasonable and they keep marshals on the course to keep folks moving. It is a course I like to play at least once a year, but if I lived closer (a little over an hour each way), it would be a regular on my course list. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.
Nothing special here
Old carts, diseased greens and bumpy fairways. The air pressure in the golf cart tires was probably double the PSI so that surely didn’t help with the poor fairway conditions. Lack of options allow poor courses such as this one to stick around but if you’re a local or want to stay away from the crowds this course will do.
Thanks
Good track. Paired with good folks. A good day of golf.
Beautiful
The course was beautiful, little soaked on front 9, but better and drier on back 9. Staff was awesome and thank you Monica for making us feel welcome, did buy that "shamrock hat" for this Irish girl. See you next time when we're up from Florida. Thanks again.
Greens are horrible
Course use to look good but they let the greens go and the tee boxes have been in rough shape. If you are looking for a course nearby play cypress better greens and conditions for cheaper.
Course in good shape, greens are awful
If you are going to charge $49 normally for a weekend round of golf, make sure your greens are puttable. Most greens are bumpy due to no grass.
Too many players on the course causing slow play and no ranger to try to keep them moving. Quality of the course is not commencer-ate with the price.
Would go back.
The staff was friendly. The course was very well kept shoutout to the course maintenance crew they’re doing a good job out there. The course itself is fairly challenging but fun nonetheless. The only issue I had was congestion of players on the course but that could’ve been it being a Friday. Overall 4.5/5 I recommend trying this course out if you haven’t yet.
The course was great
Loved the layout, was challenging but not too challenging to enjoy.
