SLOW!

Very nice short course. That being said, there are a lot of very bad golfers that play here. We were paired with an elderly man and his son who didn't play. They were nice but had a 10 on almost every hole. They only played nine holes and we thought we were in the clear but the elderly couple in front of us BOTH played and were even slower. To me a 4 hour round on a 5400 yd corse is torture. It is what it is just don't expect to get in any rhythm and pack a lunch it's going to be a while.

Beautiful course

I always enjoy playing Sugar Mountain golf course in the summer. The place is so beautiful and well kept! And the course is very challenging for your short game. Very few flat greens, narrow fairways, every surface is sloped. But the mountain air is magnificent and the flowers, a beautiful touch and the patrons and staff always friendly.

Sugar Mtn - one of NC’s finest

I’m always amazed how well groomed that the Sugar Mountain Gil course is maintained. Tee boxes, fairways, greens are always manicured and looking fantastic. Sugar Mtn is a golf course that never disappoints. I highly recommend it!

Great condition, nice course

Course was in great shape and pace of play was good. Really nice executive course. No warm up facilities though was the only draw back.
