We've been to Sugar Mountain numerous times, but, this is the 1st time playing this municipal course. That's right, municipal!! It's an executive course, and you must use all of your clubs. All around, fantastic course, but beware the devious 4th hole. Get past that demon, and you're rewarded on the next one with maybe the prettiest hole in golf.

From booking online through GolfNow, to checking in at the course, getting carts and on the course, the entire process was super easy and seamless. The course was in excellent condition, the greens were super fast and challenging. We loved the gorgeous views at each hole, the pace of play was perfect, and course was the perfect amount of challenging. We will definitely be back! FIVE STARS!

Beautiful layed out. Not a long coarse but some fairways are narrow. Greens have lots of breaks.

Played here on a Saturday afternoon with a friend and made it maybe halfway through the round before we were talking about coming back again. The mountain views were excellent, staff was friendly and helpful, and the course was in superb condition. Course is fairly short, but the fairways are tight and can absolutely punish you for missing them. I really enjoyed the layout, even though I donated a few balls. Greens are well kept, especially considering how dry it’s been. Pace of play was also zero issue. Can’t get much better bang for your buck than this place.

Short - demanding and fair. It will test all aspects of your game. Beautifully maintained. For a public course this track is OUTSTANDING. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Course was in good condition for early in the season and the grounds crew has done yeoman's work since Helene destroyed the property. In about 2 weeks, the greens will be back to their typical diabolical speed and difficulty. Staff is A++.

Scenic, challenging and fun. The course is in amazing shape after a restoration post Hurricane Helene. The entire team has done an amazing job. Happy to say this course is in my neighborhood and looking forward to a great season.

My family enjoys playing this course we have played it 3 times now, each wad a great outing. Every visit has had its challenges and great shots for all. We also had a few bottle necks and impacts on pace of play but that is expected for a busy course.

Tom runs an amazing property, especially considering 1 yr since helene. Narrow fairways but big greens. Balls will be lost, fun will be had.

Really live this course. Tom and his crew do an awesome job. Even with less than 18 holes available since Helene, the course is a excellent shape. I have been playing there for many years and will continue to do so!
