The course and staff were awesome. I would definitely recommend this to anyone

Was able to enjoy an nice round of golf with my son who was in from Chicago. The pro allowed us to get off about 30 minutes early, which was huge, given the heat index in early afternoon was 105F. Course was in excellent shape!!

Rough way to high. No first or second cut just 6 inches high and losing your ball even if everyone saw where the ball landed. Got to hit the fairways to even have a chance at a good score.

Always hoping for good experience but end up with same. Staff make it where I don’t want to come back and this time I will hold up my end. I was a single and showed up on time and was told starter would assist. Loaded cart and warmed up and was told by starter he’d be back around to get me going with another group of three. Starter comes back a minute before and says I’m suppose to be at hole 10, and to hurry. No problem! So I head over there and start to approach tee box when some random Tool of a person tells starter I should be put in the other singles cart bcuz it’s policy. Now I’m annoyed by it all. Not being paired in a cart but having some random person tell starter what to do and me being rushed to another tee box bcuz of misinformation and now being made to switch my things from loaded cart and tee off on time. Greens were terrible with disease and non repaired ball marks. Overall the usual experience. Too many courses to choose from to continue going here.

Without GPS and course layout makes play difficult. Too many unknowns over the hills and around the corners you don't know the distance of.

Everything was at the exceptional level that I expect from Pevely. This was the 1st time I played later in the day there. The only complaint was that they packed up early, and there was no beverage cart on a 100 degree day. No food in the turn either. I’d say, come prepared with hydration and snacks.

Only issue is I didn’t get paired up. Single player.

It was a joy to play this Amazing course. The course is beautiful and challenging. The staff were just the best. I would love to play this course again.

I’ve played this course many times and have never been disappointed with the experience. Well maintained, friendly staff and good pace of play. Because the group in front of us cancelled, we were even able to get off a little early, which enabled us to beat an afternoon thunderstorm.

While this is a gem…one of the best public courses layouts in STL, I do have a couple of complaints:

1) pace of play was a serious problem and needs to be monitored by a marshal.

2). They do NOT accept cash

3). Drink cart girl was completely absent one day and then present the next at least a decent amount. Also frustrating to not accept cash

Everything at Pevely Farms was top notch. The greens, the tee boxes, the fairways, the staff was tremendous! The fairways and greens present a challenge. I saw the cart girl numerous times. Water jugs filled with cold water. Carts are nice even without GPS. It was one of the best golf experience around and I've played 40 different courses in the area.

The course is very hilly, often finding yourself on slopes or downhill lies. Tee shots are crucial to having a good round due to tight fairways and woods on both sides. Overall course is kept in great condition, greens and fairways are well managed. Staff was friendly and saw the cart girl about 4-5 times throughout 18. Range was grass and nice to hit off, gave a very similar feel to the tee shots. Great course wood highly recommend.

Played here enough to know you’re RARELY rewarded for good shots. Ball either rolls from the middle of the fairway ibti the rough. Or if it stays on the fairway it’s 6 inches above or below your feet. Know that going in. But it is unacceptable when you hit the landing zone, rolls down to the low spot in the only spot in can stay in the fairway, and it’s a COMPLETE mud zone. Not soft grass, straight mud. Just such a joke for 80-100$ a round.

The conditions of the course were amazing. Greens were very smooth but they were a tad bit slow. They were slow due to the greens being wet. Fairways were in phenomenal condition and the rough were not too penal. I got to go off 30 minutes early and got my round in under 3 hours.

I ran into a group on the turn and they let me play through. Then I ran into a group on 16. I just took a few more minutes to pack up and clean my clubs while waiting for them to putt out on 18 where they met with 3 others for a total of seven on 18.

One comment was that I only saw the beverage cart once and some of the water cans not full. I would also reply the holes vs putting the foam cap over the old hole. I got a few interesting bounces on the greens because of the way the old holes were replaced. My only other comment would be to let the patrons use the range ball machine vs. handing them out from behind the counter. The ball count looked a little low to me for what was advertised.

I’m glad that I was able to play here on my visit home.
