Player's Ridge Golf

First of all, the staff were very friendly. This first impression is under appreciated when visiting a golf course. My Wife and I like to play different courses, and staff courtesy is the first thing we notice about a place. The course was in great condition and well manicured around the fairways in case you hit a ball offline. The greens have filled in nicely. They roll smooth with fair speed. We’ll definitely play here again!

They really should have better control of the people they let play the course for shootouts Etc. We had a foursome and allowed other twosomes to play through, but have a foursome behind us that you the course very well and evidently played there every Saturday. The ranger came to us on the 12th hole and said that the he will behind us were regulars every Saturday and typically cause trouble they have a shootout tournament that they're in and he always ask them to come at 8:00 but they always come at 9:00. He asked us not to cause any trouble with them if they hit up into us but to just call back to the clubhouse and let them know about it and they would take care of it. First off I thought you should have already taken care of it if you have this problem every Saturday. I fully believe in golf etiquette, but the people behind us simply didn't have it. I do hope the course will take this review seriously, because the next group that's in front of them and almost gets hit with the ball might not be so nice.

Overall a very good experience....staff very friendly, good food at bar. Greens and fairways very nice but cart paths are rough and there are a lot of edge/rough areas that would qualify as ground under repair. Tees were pretty firm and sometimes hard to get tee in ground but it has been very dry here.

Pace was decent, not too much water or sand to penalize you. I am sure they are working to improve course conditions, the clubhouse is beautiful.

Listed as semi private and a high rating. Don’t agree with it. For starters the people playing there were very rude and playing drunk golf. Zero etiquette. Driving to the 1st tee box someone on the driving range hit a ball backwards and hit myself and the cart. On hole 2 a group hit 2 golf balls onto the tee box, while attempting to tee off. Not a word said. Greens were in good shape. Some fairways were okay. It needs proper updating all throughout the course. Tee boxes, cart path. All the greenery around waters were very rough.

Has so much potential

Shorter course even from the back tees. Lots of side hill lies so you must hit it to the correct side of the fairway on a few holes.

Players Ridge will absolutely keep you honest. That course is basically a masterclass in “hit your spot or pay for it.”

This track is coming back!!! Congrats to the staff for weathering the storm and hooray for the new management to see this great track returned to its glory.

You will use every club in your bag, note to staff, please set up the par 3’s so I don’t use the same club every time…my 4-iron isn’t that good….lol.

The undulating fairways, tight grass around the greens and great viewpoints into nearly every green were AMAZING!

To others leaving a review, make sure it’s not YOUR GAME that’s at fault, because this track is not Cap.

I'm fairly new to this course but really like it. Greens are rolling great, a bit quick even. Fairways are flush, Tees & Approaches are too. The cartpaths put sciatica to the test though. All in all, for the money, it's a good round of golf.

Overall a very clean and well kept facility. Greens are not mowed short enough in my opinion. It affects the putting stroke for sure.

Lots of hole tee off without clear sight of the flag which I enjoy. Challenging, rolling hills, some water.

Cart path needs help bad. Beat you to death.

As you drive into the community, the homes are beautiful and its sets the anticipation for an amazing experience. The gentleman in the pro shop was welcoming and informative. The course itself is a solid layout, but the condition is just average. A lot of places of missing grass, just rocky clay hills with the absence of trees, as this type of terrain is usual on courses with lots of trees. The greens had some rough spots and were very slow. Depending on how you’re putting, that’s not always a bad thing to take out the break and bang it! Overall, the community and its homes are the star at Players Ridge, I’m hoping it is a situation where many of the homes are newer and as the community has grown, the course hasn’t kept pace. There is a ton of promise in the course, it just needs some solid TLC.

greens are cooked, other than that decent short course. Plenty of better tracks for the $.

Great course layout, rolling hills and elevation changes on every hole. Very fun course, And friendly staff. This is truly a hidden gem of the area

The fairways were half dead. There was more dirt than rough. The greens were ok but horribly beaten up. The cart give to me was unclean, with every cup holder soiled with sticky residue.

Apparently they need to check their grass cutting equipment… uneven grass on the fairways.. greens were randomly scalped.. someone needs to maintain the grass cutting equipment.

Nice course layout… some simple holes and some very Challenging holes.

Played with my Nephew who was hitting from the Whites while I hit from the greens.

Got to # 13 .. par 3… my Nephew used his 9 wood to bounce his shot onto the green.. two hops and hit the flag stick.. plop… the balls in the Cup for his first

“ Hole in One “…. I’d never witnessed such an event and he had a Glow for the final holes.

Hopefully they’ll get their equipment right… nice course otherwise

Staff was great as always, no complaints there! First time playing here this year. Course was a bit shaggy, but the mowers were out. Starting to get some ant problems on several of the greens. Last few times I’ve played here I walked so never really noticed the paths, but they’re getting in rough shape. Also, what’s up with the geofencing on the carts? No signs on course, no gps screen to warn you. Several times I’d be driving down the middle of the fairway, nowhere near the green, and the cart would suddenly lock up and scream at me. Very annoying!

The current owner has brought this course back from the brink, so I fully expect the minor condition issues are temporary and may be related to the fact the he just bought another course last year, Granada Farms, that is currently undergoing a lot of restoration work.
