Pros and Cons
Pros... 1-You don't need A Tee time. First come first serve. 2- The course Is in as good condition right now That I have ever seen it. The greens are in good shape And the fareways are "getting there"...3- They have a driving range and large putting green 4- Friendly staff... Cons 1- They only have snack crackers and honey buns etc. No sandwiches or hot dogs.2- I think they are a little bit pricey at $35 For seniors! You can play Silver Creek in Morganton Which is a much nicer course all around For the same price...3,4&5 NO BEER!
Owners are not friendly at all, maintenance crew blew glass into me and my group’s cart after he stopped us while we were playing, they won’t let you pay just a “riders fee” they charge you full price no matter what, and pro shop probably one of the worst i’ve ever seen. plenty of better courses around here.
Terrible Course
The owner is a rude money taker, he was mowing and stopped us while playing, after he was done talking, he blew grass on us and our cart, charges you full price for a rider, and also has almost nothing in the pro shop and has no grill, just a couple thing of junk food, NOT WORTH THE MONEY. I’d rather travel then go to this one that’s right by my house
WORST course in area
This course is like playing in a cow pasture. The owner is all about the money and will charge you for letting your small child ride with you. The owner has a tendency to treat non member groups very hostile. Over all the course has zero flat ground and every hole has a hill. The greens and fairway are like concrete and your ball will role at least 50 yards from where you hit it. Everything is dated and looks like it belongs in The 1970s. I actually thought I was at a deforestation clear Cut from all of the trees that were cut down. Some one must really need fire wood. If you like hitting up or down hill every hole this is your course. Out of the courses in the area this is by far the worst. Try Cedar Rock or Lenoir for a much better experience.
Different
This course is ok not great but not bad. lots of better choices around the area then this one use as last resort
Everything is easy, till it's not.
This course has some of the most relaxing and easy going holes I've ever played. Although just as you start to think you can relax you'll come to the next hole only to be kicked in the teeth. Lots of large, wide open fairways followed right up by a par three tucked in the woods on the side of a hill where one mistake off the tee means the difference par and double-bogey+.
Friendly service and relaxed atmosphere make for a fun game with a few buddies just takin your time. You can't beat the price either as last time I went it was one price for all day play, got there early and played 36 for the price of 18, it doesn't get any better.
