Great mountain golf especially for the price
Really nice mountain track with a good layout and nice laid back atmosphere. Staff was super friendly. For the price, greens were in great shape. Would definitely play again. Super challenging from the tips but fun!
Very Nice Course
Course was in excellent condition. Pace of play was slow.
Golfer
Course was in ok condition aloy of extra grass clippings on fairway layout is quite har but I liked the challenge
Course is very challenging. There was a lot of wet areas from all the rain they have had. Greens were soft and receptive to shots. Greens were in good shape.
Follow Up to Round on 7/28
We played your course last year and were looking forward to playing it again this year.
I love the layout, unfortunately the greens were in average condition and slow, cups were cut with crowns. The green side bunkers were in awful condition with little sand and drainage run off, basically unplayable.
I was told by the lady in the pro shop that senior discounts were only available if you were 75. Would have thought 70 would have been considered a senior.
Probably won’t come back next year.
We'll be back
3 of us made the hour and half drive to play here. I usually play here once a year. Absolutely in great condition. Stunning beautiful layout. If you haven't played here , you're missing out!
Classic Layout Ok Conditions.
Today was my first time playing Cedar Rock. Snagged a hot deal on Golfnow for 52 dollars and dodged some thunderstorms. It is an old school classic layout in an older community of nice homes. A lot of different types of holes. And a lot of doglegs. A good bit of elevation change gives it a mountain course feel as well. I really enjoyed the layout. The fairways are rather small. As are the greens. When I went to check in there was no one to be found in the clubhouse. I finally just got a key and went on since I payed online. The course is not super well marked and it snakes through the community. So there were a few times I was kinda guessing where I was going. It wasn’t very busy. So pace of play was actually really good. Especially for a Saturday. The GPS on the carts was a nice touch. Especially for a first timer. The conditions were just ok. The tees were ok. The fairways needed to be cut tighter in my opinion. The mower they had cut them with was also cutting uneven. And there were a good bit of clippings laying on them. The bent grass greens looked pretty good for this time of year. But we’re soft and slow compared to most of the courses I’ve played this summer. I hit the ball rather well by my standards. But couldn’t score bc I three putted several times. At first I left the put way short. Then to compensate I started hammering them and they ran way by. I understand them not wanting them to get burnt up in this heat wave though. Every bunker I saw was washed out and unplayable. They were essentially a free drop. Overall. It was a really fun play. And could be a great course with just a tad more TLC. I’d definitely return. Especially if I can get another hot deal on golf now.
Nice course
Cedar rock is a nice course with beautiful Mountain View throughout the entire course. Front nine was great, rolling hills on the fairways and had that real mountain course feel. The back nine however lost my excitement. Back nine is very flat and fairways are a little patchy in some areas. Luckily cedar rock offers amazing amenities and has a great practice facility with driving range, pitching, and putting areas. Overall nice course
Consistently good
Play here once a month or so. Very consistent course with a good layout and good variety of holes. Great for the money and never super crowded. Definitely a must play if you’re in the area
Fun challenging course
When we were checking in they told us that they had just aerated 4 days ago. Of course the greens didn’t roll the way they normally do. The course was still challenging and the gusting wind up to 25-30 mph made for tough playing conditions. Will definitely be back in a few months to play.
Rain and Cold doesn't ruin a round
Played in 45° and misting rain and still had a fun time. Our two-some got around in just over 3 hours. Lots of elevation change leads to a challenging course even after multiple times playing.
Nice plush cushioned golf carts with gps are a nice plus to the course and shot locations are very important for next shots.
Will be back next year to play in the spring
Fun Course - Tough agreens
Layout is fun (would skip #5 -LOL). Undulating greens are the true test for this course!
