Golf Now Hot Deals are great for this place. Won’t be in Jacksonville long enough to justify a membership, otherwise I would already be a member. Great staff every time and the members are super friendly and helpful every time we go. Wish they would offer Golf Moose deals, then we would be here every weekend. If you haven’t been yet, you need to go.

One hole had a temporary green and one or two others were heading in that direction.

No snacks at the pro shop as you had to wait until the pool opened at 11:00.

Staff was very friendly and pace of play was good.

Would recommend Castle Bay 10 out of 10 times for anyone vacationing at Topsail over Jacksonville.

Greens need some work....as well as some tee boxes were really bad.... the cart paths are pretty rough in some areas...but it is a challenge to play and pace was not bad.

This was our group’s first time playing this course.

I must say after reading a few of the reviews I was a bit concerned.

We were surprised when we pulled into the parking lot and there were not many cars…which turned out to be a blessing for us! No one playing immediately ahead of us! We played the round in a little over three hours…Nice!

We found the course to be in decent shape. The fairways had good grass with very few tight lies.

Some of the greens were distressed…but even those had the pins located in areas of good green grass…the greens ran smooth and there were some subtle and challenging breaks to challenge us!

The course had challenging areas as well as holes that could be attacked. Overall we had a fun day.

Jacksonville is close to Camp Lajune. It had everything you'd want in a golf course.

This course is old and needs attention. Its not terrible but there are better courses in the area. The main issue is that this course has only recently become public and I dont think the old members like it. We had a group of 5 old fellas in front of us who refused to let us play through. Then they accused us of hitting into them...we were not. We were keeping the woods in the bag and hitting shorter shots (more strokes) just to keep moving. The 2 men behind us were hitting into us and had to be told to stop. Never felt welcome at any point. Considering the condition of this place they better be grateful the public can support them.

Not bad.....some of the greens are in need of some repair....but great layout.....will definitely be back.

Showed up for 8 am tee time , was told can’t tee off until at least 840, said staff was late getting treatment on the greens, then cash only course due to credit card machine not working , would have been fine with both but they never reached out to tell us . Course overall very rough , greens super slow looks like the have not been cut for weeks , farirways very hard not watered , could be a great layout but lack of care puts this way below average and overpriced

Worst course I ever stepped foot on!

Was way too wet too even have been open, layout sucks , course in dis repair and should be turned into section 8 housing

Enjoyed our round however, the greens were sanded and frustrating. Plays long as wind is a factor.

Course in great shape. Hilly terrain on a few of the holes adds to the challenge
