Great Layout
This is a beautiful course with a great layout and a friendly and helpful staff. The only negative are the traps and bunkers they need serious attention ( sand needed mostly dirt in them ) so ideally stay out of them and everything else is great, LOL. Only Nicklaus Co. Designed course I know of in eastern N.C..

Great golf course wide open fairways the greens were fast it’s going to really good whenever the grass turns green definitely going back to play again
Best greens in the area!
I have recently played The Emerald and Cypress and both those places are a wonderful round and have very nice greens but Taberna takes the cake right now. They are firm and receptive and roll pure. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The range and chip/putt facilities were wonderful. Range balls included with a paid round should just be standard at all courses. The other patrons we encountered, that seemed to be members, were very nice and polite. Can't wait to go back when everything greens up. If you see a hot deal on golf now this spring Grab It! Once iy dries up more and greens up I will be happy to pay wtvr full price is.
Ok but not great
Course was cart path only because of heavy rain the night before. This isn’t a good cart path only course. Bunkers were full of water however, I’m not sure what condition they’re normally in. Greens were ok.
Course in great shape. Greens in great shape. Penalized for going in rough as it should be. Only negative was staff at course, not the most friendly group.

Top notch course and staff. Course was in great shape, greens rolled well. Alex and Dan in the clubhouse were fantastic and made sure I made my tee time.
A must play!
Course is absolutely fabulous. Played from the tips and it required a lot of thought and focus to navigate the course successfully. Greens are immaculate, challenging, and slick, but not ridiculous slick. Course amenities are abundant. Friendly staff. Shoutout to Paul in the clubhouse.
This review wouldn't be complete without something to critique.... The bunkers throughout the course were atrocious. Most were nearly completely washed out with weeds growing in them. I have to believe that this flaw is on the management agenda to be fixed soon, the course is in too good of condition otherwise. The rest of the course and bunkers are polar opposites.

Course was in excellent shape absolutely great layout. Challenging yet fun. Only complaint bunkers are unplayable right now. Lot of rain holding water and honestly the bunkers need a lot of TLC . Which was not a bid deal at all
Great track
Really nice layout with many options on the tea box depending on your length. Clubhouse offered good food and beverage, and the staff was really good.
Have playex here multiple times. Great layout for all skill levels. Greens were in great shape. Definetely will be back.
