Stately, big-ballpark member golf
CCNC is a serious golf club for serious golfers, and its Cardinal course falls perfectly in line with that ethos. It's got big corridors, big-homes set well back from play and several holes where you need to take a deep breath and make a committed swing, or else you'll pay the price. Several par 4s and 5s glide up and over gentle saddle ridges, adding just a hint of uncertainty to tee shots before a pleasant reveal where the green comes into view as you arrive at your ball. It's a really nice effect at a really nice club in one of America's great golf destinations. If you score an invite, definitely play here.
