Golfer Reviews
Had a great round at Etowah
Fairways were lush. Greens were in great shape. you can expect wet conditions when playing mountain courses in August. Much better option than hard, dry pan fairways. Staff was very friendly and I ended the round with a beer at the 19th hole.
Consistent Etowah Valley Play
Course was sopping wet after heavy rain the day before, so CPO. Flat terrain on South course does not drain well, but most holes on West course were fine. Greens firm and well-groomed; fairways largely in good shape, traps were unraked & smooth as sidewalks, and tee boxes had healthy grass. Good courses for a workout!
Great all around
Booked a hot deal at 3 pm on a Friday. Didn’t have much time to get there but staff was extremely nice, and helpful letting me play when I got in, and didn’t make me rush. Everyone was very kind, the place was quiet and peaceful, the other players in front and behind me were respectful, and the course was in great shape.
Reccomended
Playing golf
Always enjoy playing here interesting holes between the front nine and the back nine.
Fun course
Pretty flat if you want a break from the hills. Of course it’s in great condition. The only thing I would knock would be the card pass. They all need to be re-asphalted.. They are in pretty rough condition.
Course was heavily saturated due to heavy rains. Some areas worse than others. Overall a nice course
Greens good/ Bunkers not so much
Could have been better for the money. They closed 9 of the 27 last year so the 18 left should be better. Some GUR to deal with and the bunkers need more sand for my liking
5 hour round, no on course staff to speed up pace, poor value.
Cons of playing on Sunday around noon:
a 5 hour round,
the cart barking at you for slow pace but it's the groups of members ahead of you playing super slowly.,
Extra fees for paying with a credit card, over $9 for a very basic hot dog and a bottled soda at the turn.
Dormant Bermuda fairways and just the lack of staff getting the pace moving along will all deter me from going to etowah again.
Greens were in great shape, some sand traps were well maintained while a dozen were in some sort of transition between being rough grass traps, refurbished or removed entirely. Carts were new last year, paths still pretty rough.
Wasn't worth $60 in March of 2026.
