Camarillo Springs Golf Course
About
Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

Camarillo Springs
Fairways are very rough. Madea alot of improvements over the last two years. Driving range is very good.
Good Pace
Played on Saturday, it was perfect weather and pace of play.
Need lot of clean up
Badly maintained course Tee box is pathetic. At the least flatten out the area and keep it watered some of the tee boxes it is hard to push the tee into the ground
Going backwards
Seems like someone doesn't know to cut back on watering greens during the may/June wet marine layer. Worst greens in 3 counties. The practice putting green is unusable. Total waste of time. And the range continues to die. Almost half dead already. But other than that they stopped watering the fairways. Management told me they have to replace EVERY sprinkler head. And additional irrigation plumbing. 😵😵😵
Sean,
We did replace the irrigation system on the range during the remodel. What's is happening on the range is not a watering issue. When we seeded the range, 30% sat it water with the storms that followed; preventing the seed from taking. Now, those areas are hardpan, and the process will be more than just working sprinkler heads. We have a plan to reverse that, thank you.
ROUGHEST FAIRWAYS I’VE EVER EXPERIENCED
And not in a good way… Fantastic new range with Top Tracer tech…
However, more gopher holes, bumps and ruts than I have ever experienced on any course in my 58 years of golfing experience… ON THE FAIRWAYS.
Bumpiest greens ever, putts never rolled on tracked. Granted front 9 was recently punched, but I highly doubt the greens have ever been rolled..
I cannot recommend this location in any way, shape or form. Except range time.
Thank you for your feedback, KBELLIOTTI. We’re glad you enjoyed the range but are sorry to hear about your experience on the course. New ownership has only had this property for a year and a half, and we have a lot of work to do. Hope you consider us in the future. Thank you.
Booking
Only 3 of us could make it with a booking of 4
1 had a emergency on day of
I wasn’t able to change that why?
Hey there - was this an issue at the course, or through the call center?
Dry as a bone
Unfortunately one of the owners informed me that all of the sprinklers are shot. Can't water because they have to replace them all and alot of the pipes too. But why is the new driving range also dieing? I thought they replaced the irrigation system for the range? Most of the teen boxes have more slopes than the greens.
Sean, it is a process - we have a long way to go for what we were left. Thank you
Range is good. But course NOT ready.
The range is fine. Nice new fence, decent mats, normal range balls. $10 for a small is a bit steep though, but they have to pay for the upgrades huh.
The course is the SAME AS LAST YEAR. It’s mostly GUR all across the board, dirt bits here and there. Greens are good though, they’ve always had good greens. But obviously the fairways and tees are last on their list. Such as, there still are no black tees, but the scorecard is the same as the old one.
They are fixing some cart path bits and they do have newer carts too.
The lakes all have water in them, which is nice.
It will need another year to fix the grass issues.
So take it for what it is.
Bone dry
The irrigation system is shot according to one of the owners i spoke with. But why is the brand new driving range grass dying also? I thought they put in new irrigation for the new range. I suggested astro turf and they said grass seed is cheaper. The grass obviously wasn't established enough to be driving the range cart on it yet,its dying fast. Sad
Sean, the irrigation is shot, and we're in the process of repairing it throughout. Doing this while open, and in-house, will take time but the process has started. In terms of the driving range, it has nothing to do with irrigation - that is disease that we are battling and its 50 sq feet - not the whole driving range. These things do happen, and we're working to remedy it. Thank you
Golf now
Golf now is a rip off!!! I tried booking for Thursday it booked for Wednesday one minute later I figured my mistake and they would not change it or refund it. Stay away from this app!!!
Mike,
If this isn't a hotdeal/trade time, call the golf shop and we'll assist you in moving to the correct day and time for you. If the booking is a hotdeal/trade time, unfortunately that is not ours to move - it's on the GolfNow side.
Got a great hot deal
Fairways need some serious work lot of bare spots
Enjoyed the day , greens were nice . Like playing there
Thank you for the kind words, and we agree with your assessment. We're working to get those fairways going, starting with irrigation.
Greens and Fairways
Greens were okay but the fairways were in really poor condition.
This is a fair and accurate assessment. The infrastructure was nonexistent when we got here, and we're only 15 months into this long process but we're working at it. Thank you for your support.
Thank you for your review - we agree with your fair assessment and we're working at it. Thank you
It was too windy and the fairway are not kept well
Thank for the review! The fairways are maintained through routine course maintenance. However, the issue is the irrigation system, which is nonexistent. The new owners fully support us modernizing the irrigation system, and that will benefit us all! We just got all 18 greens on times, and the fairways and tee boxes are next. We hope to have you back in the future, thank you.
Hard pan fairways.
They might have stopped watering completely? Perfect drives end up with a hard pan lie in the middle of the fairways. The conditions there cost you 6 strokes per round.
Thank for the feedback. As you know from your frequent play, we're working diligently to take a nonexistent irrigation system and modernize it. To do this for 6900 yards while open, takes time. All 18 greens are now on timers, fairs and tee boxes are next. Thank you for the support.
Miranda, thank you for taking the time to review us. We appreciate the feedback and hope you'll visit us again in the future.
Thank you for the review; we're continuing to work on bettering our course conditions. Thank you for your support.
Money towards wrong things?
Fun course, but definitely needs work.
Tee boxes are not flat. So when teeing up you get ti decide if you want ball above or below your feet. Which is crazy. Also grass was rough. Fairway decent, greens good. But bunkers??? Oh man. More like cart path traps. If you want to get out of them best to putt. They put a ton of money towards the driving range, but forgot they still have a course to maintain. Its a fun layout, but pace of play was terrible. 5 hour round. Management needs to focus more on course conditions and not trying to cram as many people as possible in 1 day because overall its a fun course.
Thank you for the feedback - irrigation for this property was nonexistent when the new owners got it 15 months ago. We're working to get that system modernized as fast as we can so we can redo tee boxes and properly irrigate the fairways. The driving range was a much simpler renovation by comparison which is why that was completed right away.
HD,
We're in the process of rebuilding an irrigation system that was not operational when the new owners bought the property in Dec 2025. Once we have that up and running, we have every intention of leveling and rebuilding our tees. Thank you for the feedback.
