Great Club
I expected to like this course I was pleasantly suprised that I liked it so much. I could play this course every day and not get bored really a fun layout This course is set on a hill side and winds its' way around the hill with incredible views of the Valley below throughout. Course was in great shape only negative the rough is bermuda and it's high very hard to hit out of and find your ball. They are trying to establish it before they can cut it a little shorter and make it more manageable. A fade will serve you well here as there are a lot of dogleg rights due to the hillside. we joined with a member who was able to tell us where to hit the ball off the tee which was very helpful for a first timer. Loved the bunkering there was lot of it I felt it was both strategic and aesthetic. Greens were quick but not too quick Nice vareity of par 3's think I hit 4 differnt clubs into the 5 par 3s from 9 iron to 3 wood. there are some houses lining some of the fairways but they are set far enough back that they don't come into play too much or distract from the course and the views. they have all the amenities you would want from a club, driving range, practice greens pool, etc. Fantastic clubhouse with attentive staff and really good food that is fairly priced. multiple areas to hang out and have a drink overlooking the course and the valley I woudl have liked to stay all night. If I lived in the area this club is the one I'd join. The combo of fun course, laid back vibe, and amenities was as good as I have seen
Bring your A game
I think I'd quit if I was a member here.
From dramatic tee placements to blind fairways and tucked green. Lots of elevation changes. Greens were fair but the locals need to have some pride (lot's of unrepaired divot marks). This is one of those course where local knowledge would be very helpful due to placement of shots and troubles to avoid. What a beautiful course - and challenging.
The clubhouse... Not so much. It took forever just to get a wait staff to notice us and bringing our drinks (just to start out with water) was a time consuming task. They had some sort of pasta night so admittedly the place was a bit busy.
Fantastic course!
I played in a charity tournament for work here a few years ago. $2500 entry fee & no one else wanted to play, so I got to field my own team. Buddies from the golf shop & wannabe pros... Guess what? We won... "How
'bout that!" They appreciated the freebie & we all appreciated the trophies... Course is fantastic. Very scenic. Tons of elevation changes. Turning into the wind can be tricky -- don't over swing. Food is great, staff are terrific, grounds are first-rate. One of the finest private clubs in the area.
