Mayville Golf Club is a public course that has been a local favorite since opening in 1931. It originally opened as a nine-hole course but has expanded to a full 18 over the years though it is still a manageable length for beginners and high handicappers. The gently rolling terrain provides some subtle but tricky contours. The bunkering is sparse but carefully placed to complement the natural undulation of the land. The golf course has a good mix of holes that are tree-lined and others that are wide-open. There are a few small ponds that come into play on the front nine while several holes on the back nine run alongside a meandering stream. There are plenty of challenges in store but overall it is a player-friendly course. Mayville G.C. is also one of the better golf values in the area.

Challenging small town course
Long roughs and quick greens can make the course challenging for any skill level. Beautiful views and friendly informative staff.
Amazing Staff & Clean, Logical Course
Mayville is a fairly open course with some doglegs, tall grasses and a couple water hazards to make it perfect for any level of golfer.
Above all, for any new golfer, the staff was very friendly and the course is really easy to follow.
Windy 18 holes at Mayville
Nice course. Rough had longer grass than I was used to. Hard to judge yardage when I was in the fairway because 100, 150, and 200 markers were not recently painted and are flush in the ground making it virtually impossible to see unless you were within 3 yards of the markers. Beverage cart made several visits which was appreciated.
The wind tends to blow pretty hard in the Mayville, Lomira, and Fond du Lac parts of Wisconsin but gusts were in the 40 mph range. This was my first visit to Mayville GC and I’ll likely visit again but will choose a calm day.
Could be much better
Great landscape. Beautiful scenery. Put money into the greens, tee boxes, and fairways and this could be very good
Fire your grounds keeper
This was the worst condition I’ve ever played on there are many other courses within 30 minutes of this one that are cheaper and have been kept up
Sunday Funday?
Course was in really bad shape. I've only been here one other time, but i'd say it's not really worth the $60 + fees with cart. Yes, that's typical round anywhere here, but for a 69.5/119 rating course in terrible shape? Lots of burn out, and tees where bad shape. Greens were okay considering
Next Season
The summer has been hard on the course. Tees boxes and greens are scorched. Large brown areas cover the course fairways. Nothing rolled true. Balls that were safely in the fairway rolled into the rough and balls ping ponged off greens. The course as is, is not a good reflection of your skill or the courses potential. Wait until next season when the course has had a chance to recover.
Excellent challenge
What a sleeper! Looks like a cupcake until you play it. Tough course - especially the greens. Very challenging.
