Golfer Reviews
bunkers are dog poop.. no sand! greens were super pure and the fairways were in great shape
Greens greens greens
Wonderful course. Green hard and fast, championship speed. Subtle and not so subtle. a great test of golf.
We love it.
Staff were also great
Girlfriend left her range finder in the cart.
We called next day from Mt Hood and they found it and are going to mail to us.
Shout out to Vivian in the pro shop and the cart crew.
Premium prices, poorly managed experience
**Premium prices, poorly managed experience**
At $175 per person, including cart fees, I expected an enjoyable afternoon of golf and an experience that justified the price. Instead, our foursome left feeling rushed and unwelcome.
We started around 11:15 AM, reached the 15th hole around 2:45, and finished around 3:45—a four-and-a-half-hour round. As we approached the 15th, a marshal informed us there had been multiple complaints about our pace. There had been no earlier warning, and the twosome behind us had never asked to play through.
Managing tee-sheet spacing, different group sizes, and opportunities to play through is the course’s responsibility. Putting a twosome behind a foursome creates a predictable difference in pace. Staff should actively manage that instead of letting frustration build and then passing it along to paying guests. If you’re going to pack the course, the resulting pressure shouldn’t become the player’s problem.
We also briefly stopped at the food truck near the seventh hole and purchased drinks from the beverage cart. These are amenities the course sells as part of the experience. Guests should be able to use them without feeling like every minute spent buying something is being held against them.
I respect keeping play moving. But our group paid $700 before food and drinks, and we finished in roughly four and a half hours. At that price, I’m paying to enjoy a round of golf, not feel pressured to race through it to accommodate the tee sheet.
A premium experience requires competent course management and hospitality alongside the golf itself. This felt more focused on moving customers through than giving them an afternoon worth what they paid. For $175 per person, that’s poor value.
Great Experience
I’ve played Ghost many times and it’s always been a pleasure but yesterday it couldn’t have been better. The course is in excellent shape and the weather was Outstanding!!!
Over rated
Waaaaaay over rated!!! Played the Ghost, a $200 green fee and you get a raggedy gas powered cart with no gps, no tees and no water..again a $200 green fee…got a hot dog at the turn and the bun was rock hard…although all of these lows the staff were very friendly…course is average at best, if Tiger hadn’t have won here nobody would know about it…what a let down…go play The Reserve Vineyards and Golf, twice the course for half the price
Pumpkin
Ghost Creek is a nice layout. It is a pretty hard course. Would not recommend for beginner golfers. My issues with the course the day I played were; slow play, practice green was in poor condition, par three tee boxes were destroyed, and finally I don’t think it’s is a good value for the money.
Course could be great, but need to address some quality issues to warrant premium cost.
Great Location and Layout and Scenery
Very cool place, really unique layout. Challenging but fair. Course was a bit beat up for a higher price course. Fairways were nice, greens were fairly fast, tee boxes were very hard and chewed up. More like a $80 round instead of $145 published rates. Staff was great. No GPS on carts was crazy for a higher price course priced course too.
Ghost Creek
Great course and condition. A bit expensive, but very nice. One issue we had was there was no starter, or others on the course. Some confusion with groups at 1 and tee times.
Beautiful course
Beautiful course in great shape. Friendly staff and excellent pace of play. Highly recommend playing this jewel!
Pristine
My dad and I have been wanting to play this course for awhile and we were finally able to make it happen this weekend. The course was beautiful, in great condition, and pace of play was perfect. Highly recommend.
Fantastic greens rolled really nice
Everything was great about this course but the sand traps. I understand that it had rained for 2 days before I got there so just had to play them as they were. But best part I only hit in one sand trap Great Factily Golf carts were very nice and clean and nice range and putting area.
Nice Course But Slow Pace
It’s a very nice course, but the extremely slow pace of play took a lot away from the experience. There didn’t seem to be a course Marshall or player assistant on duty to speed things up. At my age, all the standing around waiting really impacts my game. I like the course, but I will think about the pace of play vs cost before returning.
