About
Cypress Ridge Golf Club stretches along the Central Coast, taking its name from the abundant cypress trees that are scattered throughout the course. The scenic and hilly terrain is the star of this layout, it provides challenging ups-and-downs but also stunning views. The smooth, fast greens are often elevated, as are many of the tees. The strategic placement of the bunkers was determined by the natural contours of the landscape. Though the golf course has many challenges to offer, playability is also a key feature. Golfers of all skill levels can approach Cypress Ridge Golf Club with confidence. Water does not have a prominent presence but it does come into play on the finishing par-5 hole. The golf course is a local favorite for both the enjoyable round itself and the friendly staff.

Fun course, slow play
I enjoy courses with elevation changes. This course was fun. Carts are terrible. The one I got was hard to drive it had clearly been crashed or something. They don’t allow groups of 5 under any conditions. So we played 2 & 3. At 3, you had our group of 2 & 3 and the 3 behind us stacked up waiting to hit. This is the crazy part….the clubhouse said there were absolutely no 5-somes under any circumstance. Clubhouse said it wasn’t pace of play. It’s perception. So instead of telling the slow group to skip a hole, they spent their energy making sure we didn’t all tee off together. So the 5 of us and 3 behind us all waited together to tee off on almost every hole. Dumbest situation ive encountered.
Needs some improvements on the san bunkers & weeds on fairways such as white wild flowers.
Fantastic!
First impression, this golf course is really busy. (a really good sign). The staff were very welcoming for new comers like myself. What I did take notice was how the floor plan was laid out from the start around this entire golf course. Kudos to the person who had this vision! It was fun navigating fairways throughout a cluster of beautifully designed homes. The fairways, greens so well maintained. Lastly, bunkers have real sand in them..thank you.
Cypress Ridge
It’s been ten plus years since I’ve played CR. It’s definitely not as nicely groomed as it used to be. It’s just rough around the edges. It’s more on par with a good municipal course. Good value in the snack bar, and friendly staff.
The golf course conditions were great staff friendliness and clubhouse were excellent great views and place to have a few drinks after the round everyone was more than happy to assist or answer questions
