Superstition Springs Golf Club

This was the slowest round I've ever played. It took three hours to play the front nine. When the ranger came by, we explained the situation. He went and checked in front of us and when he came back he just said there are no gaps, it's just really busy. The threesome in front of us were playing from the tips and were terrible. None of them were on a par three in less than three shots. The pro shop staff and starter were great, but they've got to do something about pace of play!!

Extremely slow play. Round took 5 hrs 20 min to play.

Course is in good condition with the exception of the sand traps. They are heavy, almost impossible to hit out of. Greens are slow but consistent.

Course was in pretty good shape, some bare spots. Card tee box names and distances do not match the GHIN app when you try to post your score.

How are these courses charging peak prices for summer conditions

The course is in very good condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The overall vibe was that everyone cares about the customer. Cart girl was very nice, starter was great just an overall great day, if prices were more reasonable, I would be back more often but it's just the way it is right now in AZ for prices. Come on summer!!! :)

Every hole is memorable, challenging and elevated greens. Staff are friendly. A fun day!

Assume that due to the heat the course did not seem to be in as good of shape as earlier in the year.

The pace of play on the front nine was excellent but on the back nine we caught up to a fivesome that had a number of groups backed up and we had to wait every shot.

3 cart boys in the hut, carts were a pig styl, had to wipe them down to sit in them or touch anything. Garbage in the water lining the shores of all the water hazards. Neglected in many areas including the cement bunkers.

The pace of play was dreadful. They continually kept telling us they were taking care of the problem because there were very identifiable people who are causing the issue yet it was never resolved. Also, the starter was grouping people together for a reason that I can’t explain, therefore, making people play in groups of three and four when it wasn’t necessary, which made it very uncomfortable and frustrating. Other than that the course was great. The layout was great and the course itself I would recommend to anyone to play very enjoyable.

Had not played this course for a few years. I was somewhat disappointed by the course conditions. The tee boxes are below average. The fairways are fair at best with wet, muddy areas and sketchy bare areas. The rough ranges from various sorts of weeds and bare areas to extensive places where small tufts of grass indiscriminately appear in a firm ground. The bunkers range from packed concrete to decent maintenance. The course winds through and around a waste area so a sewage smell follows cart paths and holes. Overall, this was not the conditions or course I expected, especially for $95, and I will not be returning.

Lots of water, sand traps, hills, ravines, etc. made this course very challenging. You need to keep in the fairway because the outside grass is thick or very short and on hard ground. Great if you love a challenge!

Friends and I were playing bogey and par golf at pace. When the Marshall came over to us to tell us there was a 2 some holding up a 4 some in front of us. (8th fairway ). We hit our shots on the green and two putt. As we finish and are walking off 8th green the Marshall circles back to tell us now we have to pick up our tee shots and place them by the 150 marker on 9th fairway. Ruining the game and scorecards for everyone who was enjoying the round. This is not the first time this has happened. I told myself I’d never spend money here again . But wanted to give them another shot. I will never let anyone I know pay or play at any arcis course because of the nasty low tone disrespect straight from the Marshalls mouth. The eventually asked us to leave because we did not take his actions lightly. They refunded us our money back but that’s beside the point. The Marshall was just profiling a group of young golfers. The cart barn and starter all agreed that the Marshall was out of line and they say he always acts like this. . What a sham. Good riddance to this establishment. ( the bartender inside was wonderful and cart barn kids as well as front desk guy were amazing. Just crazy how one bad attitude from a Marshall could completely ruin our church outing for golf .

Great layout. Staff at restaurant and check in were outstanding. The starter Terry was the best part of the day outside of the golfing!!! Good guy. Amiable, funny and inclusive.
