Superstition Springs Golf Club
About
The East Valley's Superstition Springs Golf Club offers one of Arizona's most testing layouts, measuring over 7,000 yards, with a slope rating of 130. Golf course architect Greg H. Nash designed the course and worked with the landscape already in place to provide the abundant mounding, wide bunkers and good-looking but tough-playing water features.
By the time he had finished with the Superstition Springs Golf Club, Nash had created a golf course that Golfweek called one of America's Best Golf Courses.
After - or before - a round of golf at the Superstition Springs Golf Club, hit up the restaurant for breakfast, lunch or drinks either inside or on the patio, which overlooks the golf course's signature hole, the ninth.

Unbelievably FRIENDLY staff!!!
Extremely friendly staff, very good course and green conditions, compared to many other courses in AZ right now. Only one or two fairways in punched condition, but again, compared to most courses right now, this course was in the beat condition.
Almost there
Greens are still bumpy from being punched but they're almost back. Some of them are torched around the outer edges.
Most fairways are playable. Some are still in bad shape.
A twosome finished in just over two hours which was fun.
If you're a "stick," go to Grayhawk. If you're a higher handicap or someone who isn't boujee about the game, this is right up your alley for $36 on a Thursday @ 524am.
Good greens! But
Course condition and greens were some of the best for the area but course holes are not appealing to the eye. Hit good drives and leaves you with silly layup shots. Just don’t like the course layout
DO NOT PLAY HERE
Greedy Course, rudest staff ever, horrible conditions, not worth $30. 5 hour round teeing off at 0548 on a Tuesday morning! 30th course played in last 3 months and definitely ranked last on my list. Do not play here.
The Worst in the Valley
Do not play here. Played 30 courses this summer and this is the ONLY one that wanted to charge me $25 to ride alone at 0548 in the morning on July 1st for a round that cost $30. Conditions suck and staff is worse.
Early Day
The course was in decent shape but a lot of the old water hazards have dried up so it takes away from the ambiance of the course.
thank you for taking the time for a review. Correct on the Lakes...water is tough in AZ. at least if you hit your ball in it...you can hit it out.
Value golf
Like most courses this time of year, there dry spots everywhere. There were active sprinklers with hoses connected running through various fairways.
The greens were fantastic!
For $35, can't beat it though.
thank you for taking the time to leave a review. doing our best to transition to summer grass. We hope to see you again soon.
Really great course for $30 on Tuesdays
Smoking great deal they've got going on for summer - $30 (18 including cart) plus you get a free ice cream at the end of your round. Driving range just got re-sod and alot of aeration happening all over the course, but they are keeping the greens clear. My golf buddies used to play this course a couple times a year, but with the deal going on and some great morning tee times, we'll probably play a couple times a month.
Please say "Hey" to Lou (the starter) ifyou go - great guy!
thank you! Hope to see you again soon.

Thank you! Glad you had a good time.
Worth it if you get a Deal
Superstition springs is a decent east valley value. I don't believe it is worth the top dollar green fees it charges in season. It is not comparable to longbow in terms of manicure greens and tea boxes. If you can get a good deal to play here online or with a discount it's worth it.

Solid Course. Lack of Rain Evident…
This is a great course with a great layout. The greens were nice but it is really dry. Some of the water hazards have been drained and the course is dry. Hole 17 is a challenge that I forgot about.
Overall it was a great experience. Pace of play was great and everyone was friendly. We will be back and will keep praying for rain in Arizona.

First and last time
If you don’t mind waiting 5-15 minutes for the group in front of you to clear, then this is your course. The starter, nor a ranger (never saw one), will not maintain pace. The course conditions for May are mediocre considering this course costs up to $100 still. I would not recommend it to a friend this year. Better luck in ‘27 maybe.
Thank you for playing with us and taking the time to provide some feedback! I understand your frustration on the pace of play...slow play is painful. I do have marshals on the course all day. Just like a wreck on the 101...sometimes nothing can be done. But I assure you we talk about it and make course corrections all the time. We hope you will give us another go in the future.

Superstition Springs: Challenging, Well-Kept, and Worth Every Dollar ⛳🌵
The layout gives you that perfect mix of challenge and playability. You’ve got to think your way around, but it’s never unfair. It’s the kind of course where you can score if you’re on, but it’ll check you quick if you get sloppy.
The tee boxes were in great shape—flat, well-kept, and consistent, which is something I definitely appreciate. The fairways were just as solid, giving you clean lies and rewarding good shots. And the greens? Smooth, consistent, and rolled true all day. That’s a big one for me—nothing worse than great putts getting knocked offline, and that wasn’t an issue here.
What really stood out though was the value for 18 holes, the price was more than fair, especially considering the overall condition of the course. You’re getting a quality round without feeling like you overpaid.
Bottom line—this is a course I’d gladly play again anytime I’m out in Arizona. Challenging, well-maintained, and worth every penny. 🌵⛳
