Scottsdale Country Club - The Roadrunner Course

Last time I played here is was HORRIBLE. Yesterday was MUCH MUCH better. Seems the course is making some great changes.

Pace was very slow. No ranger - no cart gal service was a bummer.

Well, the newly renovated clubhouse and practice areas are great…. Course is a little roughed up….no way they should be letting carts off the cart paths this early after overseed and 2 days of rain. Pace of play is brutal. 3 hours on the back nine. .

I was in the area for a week and played the course twice. The fairways and greens were in very good condition. It had rained a lot in the past week and there were lots of puddles on the cart paths and the side areas. We had the unforutunate luck of following 2 groups who were playing from tees which were beyond their abilities so the round took between 4.5 and 5 hours. It was just over 4 hours when I played a few days earlier on a weekday. Overall, a good value for the mone.

$135 and this is one of the worst courses I’ve ever played. It’s basically a scam. If you pay to play this course you’ve been warned.

This was the first time that I played this course under the new MANAGEMENT. Wow what an improvement! Now they actually have an excellent driving range. Their practice green and chipping area has been added onto and is about four times the size it used to be. The course conditions are excellent. The only complaint that I would have is that they need to do more about moving things along on the course. It took close to five hours to play 18 holes. I never saw a Marshall. That aside, it was a great bang for the buck, especially in Scottsdale. I will definitely play this course again and again.

20 minute wait on each hole. Way overbooked and no Marshall on the course.

Pace of play was a major issue, backed up on every Tee box. Course was in good shape compared to what it used to be. Greens were very slow

Very beautiful course, staff was extremely polite ac friendly, will definitely play again next time in this area in Arizona.

Nice layout with some challenging holes.

Pace of play was terrible, took us 5 hours to play 16 holes, gave up at that point. There was a not a marshal to be seen to keep the pace moving.

Having only been open for less than a week the greens were dead slow, almost 2 put greens and the fairways were too long to get any form of roll.

Course has definitely improved. Love the new tee boxes for the back tees

The Roadrunner course was in amazing shape today a really enjoyable round. Pace was ok but ranger was helpful. Our cart girl was super friendly. Great experience overall. Will play it again.
