Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills

I used to play this course... a lot. Since its purchase and subsequent renovation, the golf experience has become a shadow of what it used to be and what this place could be. The good, the range and the practice putting green are fantastic. The new bars and resturants are beautiful. The course, even with years to renovate and prep, is a disgrace. In the past, it was a glorified executive that was a fun track and offered some challenging or tricky holes. Now, honestly, it's a dump. Holes 3, 9, 16, 17, and 18 have lost all of their charms, and are STILL under construction. Tress are gone that provided shade when parked or waiting. And, what used to be a bustling course even during twilight mid week, is now a ghost town. Not even close to getting the value for the cost... this is not a $50 course. It could be, but one gets the feeling it's being set up to fil and redevelop. What a shame.

This golf course was short but super well maintained and fun to play. The workers are very nice and knowledgeable for any questions. Highly recommended for day time or night time golf. Load of fun!!!

This was a great course to take our 10-tear old grandson. They have junior tee boxes and the course was perfect for him to work on all aspects of his game. We loved it!

The course itself is completely average. First time playing there at a friends suggestion. Practice range is irons only.

I’ll go back only if friends specifically want to play there.

Grass Clippings is a fun, low key golf course. The Papago Buttes provide a beautiful backdrop to the course. Most of the holes are short so it is ideal to practice your short game. The restaurant and bar are tons of fun!

Played the course for the first time. Was pleasantly surprised to see the renovations made including to the driving range. Course was in pretty great shape overall. Tee boxes were solid and flat. Greens were hard and sandy, made for fast putts and unpredictable breaks. While you won’t be breaking out the driver much- if at all the course is a fun / challenging layout with lots of altitude changes. Only other down side was the noise level as it’s a smaller course and there are constant planes going overhead (as shown in pic) but once you get used to that, get your own music going find some buddies to play with a have at it.

Very friendly staff. Neat course, fun to play. Good concondition. Will play again when we return to Arizona.

We had a group of six ahead of us which slowed everyone down.

If you actually like to play golf, I don’t recommend. Super slow pace. Kinda cool to play under the lights but expensive and slow. The top golf of real golf.

Had to do it once but the pace of play is terrible. The bar and restaurant are cool just do t expect it to feel like real golf but under the lights is very cool.

Very nice executive course with excellent greens. Surprisingly well maintained course. We would return.

Liked that there were some driving holes on an executive course. Play was very fast in the middle of the day.
