Palm Desert Country Club

We played Palm Desert Country Club for the first time on 4/15/26. Loved this course. Felt like we had the place to ourselves. Finished 18 holes in less then 3 1/2 hours. The greens ABs fairways were in excellent shape! Apparently bunkers are next on the list to update! We would play here again in a heartbeat!

The course is set up inside a neighborhood not very long holes. We played in early April and the grass was still green in color. Fairways rolled good, wide open. enjoyed the putting surface as all the greens were in great shape!

We got told to pick up pace of play, while we are waiting for group ahead to hit their next shot. Group ahead of us were also waiting for the group ahead of them to get off green. Yet Marshall watches my group to hit off tee box before leaving and does not stop to talk to other groups ahead of us.

A lot of places in the area have leagues in the morning so it's hard to get a time at a reasonable cost. Was able to get one here. The pace was agonizingly slow early on but the dudes in front of us finally got moving after an employee spoke to them. Nice conditions on course but ugly houses on half the holes.

The course was in fine shape Enjoyed playing there with a mixed group of handicap levels. The double wide fairways definitely helps with pace of play. Playing again the week!

Second time playing. We returned because the staff is friendly and accommodating for visitors. Greens need a little work, but overall experience was good. Moderately priced for a moderate course.

The condition of the course was great. The greens had a little issue with quality although were still very playable. The biggest issue of the course, I believe, was the amount of times you have to drive on and across the roads to get to the next hole. All in, this was still our favourite course of the four we played this trip.

Well, the staff was friendly, the course and excellent condition. The pace of play was unacceptable. We had a fivesome in front of us and while the front nine was completed in a reasonable time of slightly under two hours, falling number nine number 10 through 13 was bottleneck and basically golfing stopped. We left the course early as we couldn’t wait any longer and holes number 15 through almost 18 were empty. Poor course management. Players should not have to call the office to get a Marshall on the course.

For the most part this is a decent course for average golfers. The back nine has most of the forward tees (red) at no more than 20 feet advantage. Not enough!

Tough playing in the windy conditions.

Staff was great, appreciated the driving nets, pitching green and large putting green. Club house was very nice. Sand traos were soft and well maintained. Greens not as fast as the previous visit.

Decent conditions most everywhere, though some bunkers weren’t great. Pace of play was great through 9 holes, slows to a crawl (group of FIVE in front of my wife and me).

My son's and I decided to go to Palm desert because of the great reviews and the location..we were surprised to find a great course and friendly staff..
